This 1946 Dodge WC-Series Pickup is a character-filled example of
Dodge's postwar workhorse, offering unmistakable vintage styling
and an honest survivor-style presentation. Finished in weathered
orange with contrasting black fenders, this truck proudly wears its
age with visible patina, paint imperfections, and decades of
character. The originality of the paint and any previous
restoration history are unknown, but its aged appearance adds to
its old-school appeal.
Under the hood sits a flathead inline-six engine paired with a
floor-shift manual transmission. The engine compartment retains a
largely period-style appearance, while vintage aftermarket slotted
aluminum wheels with weathered trim rings complement the truck's
classic personality. Its rounded front fenders, distinctive
horizontal grille, split windshield, and traditional stepside bed
capture the unmistakable styling of Dodge pickups from the
1940s.
Inside, the cabin is as straightforward as they come, featuring a
bench seat, large three-spoke steering wheel, simple
instrumentation, and minimal creature comforts. The interior shows
considerable age, with worn door panels, exposed painted surfaces,
and cosmetic imperfections throughout. Rather than presenting as a
freshly restored showpiece, this Dodge embraces the rugged,
utilitarian character that made these trucks such recognizable
workhorses.
Whether preserved in its current condition, enjoyed as a vintage
cruiser, or used as the foundation for a future restoration, this
1946 Dodge offers plenty of possibilities. With its weathered
appearance, classic proportions, and undeniable personality, it is
a great opportunity for someone who appreciates an old pickup with
genuine character.
