1955 Chevrolet Nomad RestoMod
We are pleased to offer this beautiful frame-off Classic Chevrolet
Nomad RestoMod. This is where style meets big-block muscle in this
Raven Black 1955 Nomad- pairing a 502 crate engine with a custom
leather interior and an extensive collection of performance and
comfort upgrades.
Purchased from its original owner before restoration began, this
Nomad retained its original body, glass, and frame, with no rust or
dents. During the frame-off restoration, the exterior
chrome-including the bumpers, grille, moldings, and window trim-and
stainless-steel brightwork were rechromed or refurbished as
appropriate. The original interior chrome needed no restoration
work.
A Brief History of the 1955 Nomad
Inspired by the Corvette-styled Nomad concept shown at GM's 1954
Motorama, the production Chevrolet Nomad debuted in 1955 as a
distinctive two-door wagon in the Bel Air lineup. Its
forward-slanting pillars, grooved roof, and signature chrome
tailgate bars brought show-car character to a practical wagon. The
1955 model marked the beginning of the original 1955-1957
"Tri-Five" Nomad series.
