For Sale: 1967 Chevrolet Chevelle SS in Cranberry Twp, Pennsylvania

Vehicle Description

Offered for sale is an exceptionally clean, beautifully restored and highly authentic 1967 Chevrolet Chevelle SS Sport Coupe. This vehicle is a true, factory-born Super Sport, verified VIN: 138177A159734 (Atlanta, GA assembly).

Finished in its highly desirable, factory-correct Bolero Red paint over a crisp Black interior, this Chevelle perfectly balances investment-grade historical correctness with peak muscle-car performance. Having personally owned, maintained, and enjoyed this car for the last 5 years, I can confidently state it is a turn-key classic that stands firmly between a solid Hagerty #3 (Good) and #2 (Excellent) condition.

During my 5 years of ownership, my SS Chevelle has been stored in a climate-controlled facility and driven only on pristine weather days. It has been meticulously maintained and is covered when parked This car drives as good as it looks. It requires absolutely nothing to be driven, shown, and enjoyed immediately.

Exterior

The car commands immediate attention on the road. The Bolero Red paint has a deep, glass-like gloss that shows beautifully at local events and cruise-ins. All chrome trim, SS badging, and brightwork are present, properly aligned, and highly polished.

To protect the finish and elevate the visual appeal to a show-ready standard, the car underwent a meticulous exterior rejuvenation. I had a multi-stage professional paint correction followed by a premium XPel Ceramic Coating applied by the elite team at Blackout Tinting in Gibsonia, PA. The result is an absolutely flawless, mirror-like depth to the Bolero Red finish that eliminates swirl marks and provides long-lasting, hydrophobic protection.

Drivetrain & Mechanical Performance

  • Engine: The Chevelle has been fully restored to its original specifications, including a 396 cubic-inch V8 built to L78 375 specifications, with solid-lifters, camshaft and a Holley 750 double pumper carburetor.  The engine has clocked 6,558 miles, since it's rebuild.
  • Transmission:  The 4-speed, floor-shifted manual its original, 100% numbers-matching Muncie M20 Wide-Ratio 4-speed manual transmission. It bears the clear, factory-stamped partial VIN derivative 7A159734, matching the car's vehicle identification number perfectly. The unit retains its exceptionally rare, original factory metal identification tag stamped with GM part number 3870357, verifying it as a true big-block spec M20 unit. It shifts flawlessly with crisp, tight engagement.
  • Exhaust: Headers, Dynomax mufflers, and custom 3" stainless steel exhaust.
  • Brakes:  Front disc brakes, completely and newly restored using strict OEM components. The car stops straight, strong, and reliable.
  • Rear Differential: 3.73 gear ratio, offering balance between acceleration and highway cruising.
  • Steering: Factory power steering

Premium Wheels & Tires

The only departures from standard factory spec are premium wheels and tires, which drastically improve both the ride and the visual stance of the car:  The wheels are 18" chrome polished Foose F-105 Legend that perfectly complement the factory chrome trim and SS brightwork.  The front tires are Nitto NT555 G2 245/45 ZR-18 and the rears are 275/40 ZR18 providing excellent grip, modern highway ride, handling, and a beautifully filled-out wheel well.
