Up for consideration is a striking, solid 1971 Ford Bronco built to
be driven. Acquired from a U.S. Marine Corps Lieutenant Colonel who
owned the vehicle for nearly 15 years, this Bronco spent 11 of
those years in the dry climate of Southern California. Finished in
a beautiful Candy Apple Red, it combines classic early-model
styling with massive modern drivability upgrades, featuring an
incredibly reliable electronic fuel injection system, automatic
overdrive, and four-wheel disc brakes. It runs and drives
exceptionally well, shifting smoothly and stopping with modern
confidence.
Mechanical & Powertrain
Powered by a 5.0L Mustang Cobra EFI engine. This solid electronic
fuel-injected platform completely eliminates the headaches of cold
starts, elevation changes, and constant carburetor
tuning-delivering effortless, turn-key modern reliability every
time you hit the ignition.
Backed by a Ford AOD transmission, bringing highway-cruising
capability. Both the engine and transmission have less than 5,000
total miles on them since installation.
Controlled by a floor-mounted B&M ratchet shifter.
Equipped with a custom fuel cell and a true dual exhaust system
breathing through Flowmaster mufflers.
The suspension features brand-new Bilstein shocks on all four
corners for excellent ride quality.
Stops confidently thanks to a complete four-wheel disc brake
conversion.
Freshly serviced and ready for the road with a new K&N oil
filter and fresh oil.
Exterior & Undercarriage (Transparent Disclosure)
Benefiting from over a decade in Southern California, the body is
exceptionally clean overall, boasting highly visible, factory-clean
pinch welds on the rockers. Note: There are a couple of isolated
rust spots present in the inner fenders.
Exterior modifications include properly cut fenders with wheel
flares, custom door openings, and heavy-duty custom steel bumpers
with integrated running boards.
Fitted with complete LED lighting all the way around for maximum
visibility.
Disclosure: While all exterior LED lights illuminate correctly, the
turn signal flashers are currently inoperable and will need a minor
electrical sort to flash properly.
Interior & Features
The open-air cabin is outfitted with custom, fully adjustable
bucket seats up front and a matching bucket rear seat.
All seating positions are secured with custom EZ-APEX seatbelt
harnesses for added safety on the trail or the street.
