In the classic car community, 1955 is a special year that stands
out. This was the first year for the tri-five era that would bring
around some of the most iconic classic Chevrolets ever created.
These make great collector cars and no car show would be complete
without their presence. This nice 1955 is a mild restomod that
beautifully blends stock looks with modern performance. The body is
all solid and is the 2 door hardtop version. It has been repainted
in a nice 1957 Tropical Blue with India Ivory for the ultimate
vintage 50's look. It wears all of its stock style chrome/trim
which has a clean finish and is nicely mounted in place. It also
has the really cool rear fender skirts which are a nice classic
touch. The car rides on painted to match wheels with stock hubcaps
and are wrapped with Nexen 225/70R15 tires that are approximately 2
1/2 years old and have less than 100 miles on them.
Powering the car is a nice running 350ci V8 motor paired with an
automatic transmission. A lot of components have been painted to
match the body which creates a nice cohesive look. It is fitted
with a 4 barrel carb with billet air cleaner topping off the
Edelbrock Performer RPM intake. A modern aftermarket R134 AC has
been added with Sanden compressor as well as power brakes and power
steering which makes it a great driver.
The interior has been redone in a nice matching Blue and White
upholstery which is in great condition. It has a split front bench
seat and a bench in rear. The dash is nicely painted and topped
with its stock Chevrolet bowtie trim and original gauges. In
addition to the original components it has under dash Equus gauges
and AC vents. A modern AM/FM/Cassette player has also been
installed but utilizes the original knobs and has a vintage look.
The trunk has a Black mat in place and is where you will find the
spare with custom upholstered cover and relocated battery.
This beautiful classic is set up to be a great driver and is a true
Bel Air with a clear title.
