Cruisin Classics is proud to present this stunning 1962 Chevrolet
C-10 truck. This beauty comes to us today dressed in a deep coat of
bright red paint that's high-driver quality with a great shine.
White painted racing stripes on the hood, bed, and tailgate add to
the sporty look . The molded hood features turn signals on the
forward edge. Below is a bright grille flanked by upgraded LED
headlights in stylish bezels. A mirror-finish chrome bumper sits
beneath. Looking at the truck from the side, more bright elements
pop against the red paint - body side molding spears, dual chrome
side mirrors and door handles, trim on the wrap-around windshield,
wiper arms, and ornamental trim on the rear cab pillars. Both sides
of the truck have like-new "Bowtie 10" badges. On the rear
passenger cab corner, you'll find a working power antenna has been
added. The stock rear window has been replaced with a slider unit -
a nice upgrade. The steel bed in back has a 36-gallon fuel cell
mounted at the rear near the tailgate. The entire bed has been
sprayed with red Rhino Liner, including the fuel cell. White racing
stripes flow through the bed, over the tank, then over and down the
tailgate and rear valence. While in the rear, you'll also find
chrome-framed taillights, another chrome bumper, and a big set of
chrome exhaust tips. This C-10 sits atop a set of Boyd Coddington
Billet wheels with red calipers for disc brakes peeking through on
all four corners. The front wheels are wrapped in BF Goodrich Comp
T/A tires (245/50R17) and the rears in Toyo Proxes ST III tires
(275/55R17). The truck has a great natural stance on these wheels
and tires, but adjusting the stance to your preference is easy
thanks to a front and rear AirRide system. Take a look underneath
to find a 10-bolt rear axle, a rear sway bar, independent front
suspension, a newer exhaust, and a very clean undercarriage.
Under the hood is a glossy red engine bay with plenty to brag
about. The custom sidewalls with chrome touches perfectly frame a
350ci ZZ4 GM engine that's topped off with aluminum heads, aluminum
valve covers, an Edelbrock intake manifold, a 4-barrel Edelbrock
carburetor, and a Walter Prosper Billet Air Breather with dual
K&N Filters. Ahead of the engine are a chrome alternator and a
power steering pump with a billet reservoir cap. The V-8 is mated
up to a TH350 3-speed automatic transmission that shifts seamlessly
as it sends power back to the posi-traction rear axle. Keeping
things running cool under the hood is an aluminum radiator with
stainless steel hoses and a red fan shroud. Exhaust flows through
headers and newer mufflers before exiting the tips in the rear.
Stopping power is more than ample with power disc brakes on all
four corners. Also under the hood is a brand new Optima
battery.
Inside the cab you'll find an exceptionally nice red and white
custom interior that's a perfect complement to the exterior. Both
doors are outfitted with red and white vinyl panels complete with
billet handles and window cranks. A custom-made chrome "1962
Chevrolet" sill plate welcomes you in for a comfortable cruise. The
bench seat is covered in soft red vinyl with a white center section
that sports "Sixty-Two" stitching in red on the seatback. Red vinyl
also covers the cab walls, kick panels, A-pillars, visors, and the
custom-stitched Chevy bowtie headliner. Underfoot is good quality
red pile carpet that's kept nice with matching carpeted floormats.
Rising up from the floor is a chrome dog-leg Muncie shifter with a
white 4-speed pattern knob. The knob, and the clutch pedal over to
the left would lead you to believe that this is a manual
transmission truck, but it is indeed an automatic. The shifter acts
just like any automatic floor shift (in terms of pattern) and the
clutch pedal is not connected to anything. The driver is treated to
a red 3-spoke steering wheel with a working "bowtie" horn button on
a chrome Ididit tilt column. Ahead of the wheel is a custom
stitched red padded vinyl dash with a billet gauge bezel full of
good-looking Dolphin gauges. In the center section of the dash are
controls for the AirRide system, heater and fan controls (fan
works, no heat), and an older AM/FM/Cassette stereo. When you turn
the stereo on, the power antenna goes up and you can hear some
light static, but we are unable to pull in a station. We did put in
a cassette and it played just fine through speakers in the dash,
kick panels, and cab corners. Ahead of the passenger is an empty
glovebox.
Whether you're looking specifically for a first generation C-10 or
just a cool vintage truck, this '62 Chevy deserves a good look!
This is a seriously good-looking truck that's sure to be a hit at
any car show or gathering! From the glossy paint and gleaming
brightwork to the impressive engine bay to the comfortable custom
interior - this C-10 is sure to impress! Give our friendly staff a
call today and be the lucky one who gets to put this ride in their
driveway!
