Jeep's 392 was the first Wrangler to leave the factory with a V8,
and American Expedition Vehicles took that already extreme package
and turned it into something even more capable. This Wrangler
Rubicon 392 is a fully built AEV edition, and all of the work was
done by AEV in Wixom. Few Wranglers anywhere come with this much
factory muscle and this much professional off road hardware.
Finished in Bright White Clearcoat, this Wrangler is covered in AEV
equipment, starting with the AEV RX front bumper, front skid plate,
and non winch cover plate. A WARN winch with remote is fitted up
front, and AEV front lights, 7000 Series lights, a light cover kit,
and a front lower light bar give it serious visibility after dark.
Around back are an AEV rear bumper, a swing out tire carrier, a
CHMSL third brake light mount, a hitch cover, and rear bumper rock
lights. Rock slide side skirts with integrated power steps protect
the rocker panels and make climbing in easy. It rides on AEV bronze
and silver wheels wrapped in 35 inch BFGoodrich All Terrain KO2
tires, with TPMS sensors and an AEV ProCal SNAP module to keep
everything accurate, and the AEV branding package ties the look
together.
Under the hood is the 6.4L Hemi 392 V8, paired with an 8 speed
automatic transmission and a true 4x4 drivetrain. An AEV power
intake and a Borla exhaust system give it more breath and a deeper,
throatier voice. The suspension has been upgraded with an AEV 2
inch spacer lift, front geometry correction brackets, an AEV
steering stabilizer, an AEV Bison shock system with steering
damper, and AEV XP8100 shocks. The result is a Wrangler that rides
with more control and clears obstacles with confidence, while still
delivering the kind of acceleration only a Hemi can provide.
Inside, black leather seating features embroidered AEV logos, with
matching AEV logo headrests, an AEV IP cluster overlay, and an AEV
jack base adding to the factory feel. The audio setup is a serious
one, with an Alpine stereo that supports Apple CarPlay and Android
Auto, with an option for SiriusXM. A Wet Sounds high performance
system with rear angle mounted subwoofers gives it clean, powerful
sound that holds up even with the top off.
This Rubicon 392 is a rare opportunity to buy a Wrangler that
combines the Hemi V8, a fully built AEV package, and the capability
of a true expedition vehicle, ready for the trail or the show
field.
