1953 MG TD
A True Classic: Attractive and Fun
This 1953 MG TD Roadster is a beautifully styled British sports car that captures the charm and character of classic MG motoring. Finished in a striking Silver Gray with Burgundy trim, this MG TD showcases the timeless combination of sweeping fenders and classic open-air roadster styling.
Power comes from the iconic XPAG 1.25-liter inline 4-cylinder engine, a legendary powerplant featuring a traditional overhead-valve design. Mated to a 4-speed manual transmission, this classic drivetrain provides the hands-on driving experience that makes vintage MGs so enjoyable.
The MG TD is instantly recognizable by its distinctive classic sports car appearance high-lighted by front-opening (“suicide”) doors . The long front fenders flow gracefully around the radiator grill and hood, while the stone-guard protected headlights add plenty of period character. The classic—and correct--steel wheels complement the car's traditional British sports-car appearance.
Inside, the MG TD features a beautiful black upholstered interior with matching black leather seats equipped with seatbelts.. The dashboard features a wood-grained finish with its assortment of British Jaeger gauges and traditional controls. The “banjo” steering wheel, floor-mounted shifter, and traditional instrumentation put the driver right in the middle of the vintage driving experience
With its open cockpit, folding windshield, exposed running boards and sweeping fenders, this MG TD offers the kind of character that is difficult to replicate with a modern sports car. And should the weather turn inclement, this TD is equipped with a convertible top and side curtains.
Whether you're looking for a charming weekend cruiser, a conversation piece for local car shows or simply a classic British roadster to enjoy on a sunny afternoon, this 1953 MG TD Roadster checks all of the right boxes.
