On 2 August 2019 at Volkswagen's massive Ehra-Lessien proving
ground, Bugatti became the first hypercar manufacturer to punch
through the 300-mph barrier. Here, Le Mans winner and Bugatti test
driver Andy Wallace drove a specially prepared Chiron Super Sport
prototype to an incredible top speed of 304.773 mph.
That December, Bugatti announced a limited run of production Chiron
Super Sport 300+ examples based directly on the record-setting car.
Developed in tandem with Dallara, the Chiron's silhouette was
lengthened by nearly 10 inches. The Chiron's front fascia was
subtly revised with new intakes to cleverly channel airflow above
and below the elongated body-improving aerodynamic efficiency and
cooling to the hulking 16-cylinder powerplant. The new Chiron's
shape terminated at a longtail rear end that contained a reworked,
low-profile rear wing and new exhaust system shared with the
incredibly exclusive Bugatti Centodieci.
Beneath its dramatic new bodywork was the revised 8.0-liter,
quad-turbocharged W16 that produced 1,580 horsepower through an
updated Ricardo seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. Every Super
Sport 300+ was identically specified in exposed carbon with orange
stripes and featured a decidedly spartan cockpit for a Bugatti
model, but a far more refined variant was to arrive shortly
after.
The production Chiron Super Sport was unveiled in June 2021,
retaining the performance enhancements and bodywork of the 300+ but
adding an extra serving of opulence that better aligned the Super
Sport with the marque's celebrated blend of performance and luxury.
The Super Sport's carbon fiber bodywork could now be specified in
an extensive selection from Bugatti's strong color palette, while
the cockpit traded the 300+'s focused interior for full leather
upholstery.
While the Super Sport was electronically limited to 274 mph, it
could still accelerate from zero to 124 mph in 5.8 seconds and
reach 186 mph in 12 seconds, securing its place as one of the
fastest production cars today.
This 2023 Bugatti Chiron Super Sport features a sophisticated
two-tone finish, with the upper body clad in Bugatti's signature
Argent silver with a Black Carbon lower body in subtle reference to
Bugatti's coachbuilding origins. This "horizontal exterior split"
color combination makes up $75,000 of the car's immense options
list, which totals more than $384,000. The exterior is further
specified with the $82,000 Sky View glass roof, diamond cut wheels,
a Full Carbon Fiber engine cover, and Nocturne black finish
covering the horseshoe, center line accents, and rear EB logo. The
cockpit boasts Black Anodized trim contrasting the Havana brown
upholstery that swaddles the optional Comfort seats and the bulk of
the Super Sport's distinct full leather interior.
Delivered new through Bugatti Greenwich in April 2023, this example
initially spent time in Quebec, Canada before returning to the U.S.
according to its clean CARFAX Vehicle History Report. Subsequent
ownership is reported in Indiana and Florida, with maintenance
performed at Bugatti Broward. Acquired by the consignor in December
2025, this Chiron Super Sport featured selected use and today it
shows less than 1,900 miles at cataloging.
