Unveiled at the 2013 North American Auto Show in Detroit, the
F06-generation BMW M6 Gran Coupe was in fact the first four-door M6
variant produced in-house by BMW M. The M6 shared its mechanical
foundations with the contemporary M5, equipped with the same
TwinPower twin-turbocharged 4.4-liter V8 that produced 560
horsepower, but delivered this formidable performance in a more
elegant and exquisite package. Combining an elongated silhouette
and sweeping roofline with four-door practicality, the
top-of-the-line M6 Gran Coupe variant provided a sophisticated,
sleek, and potent package that made it one of the most striking
luxury grand tourers at the time.
According to the BMW M Registry, this 2014 BMW M6 Gran Coupe is one
of just 103 examples equipped with the six-speed manual
transmission-a zero cost option offered exclusively to North
American buyers. More premium appointments revealed by a copy of
its window sticker include its two-tone Silverstone Full Merino
Leather interior that gracefully complements the M6's charming
Sakhir Orange Metallic paint. It is additionally equipped with M
Carbon Ceramic Brakes, Bang & Olufsen Sound System, and the
Executive Package that adds a host of luxuries including adaptive
LED headlights, active front and heated rear seats, head-up
display, power rear sunshade, and heated steering wheel. This
incredible arrangement was in fact specified by BMW themselves, as
the car was delivered new to BMW North America as part of the
Product Advocate Tour, according to its window sticker.
This example was first recorded in June 2014 as a manufacturer
vehicle with approximately 8,000 miles shown on its clean CARFAX
Vehicle History Report. The M6 came under the care of its first
private owner the following month, with subsequent ownership
reported in Ohio, Florida, and Arizona before entering long-term
stewardship in Pennsylvania around March 2017. It has since
received annual maintenance and inspections from BMW of Reading and
German luxury car experts Dubble's German Motors, with accompanying
invoices on file spanning the entire length of its ownership in
Pennsylvania.
Exceptionally specified by BMW, this 2014 M6 Gran Coupe is offered
today with 41,851 miles at cataloging. In return, it provides a
driving experience that is equal parts rare, engaging, and
opulent-a cocktail BMW M has been expertly crafting for more than
five decades.
