It was specified in Monza Red over black upholstery and configured as a convertible with a black soft top. A replacement 427ci L88 V8 was installed at some point prior to the current owners 2014 acquisition, and a refurbishment was completed in 2018. The car was subsequently honored with a Duntov Mark of Excellence Award, multiple NCRS Top Flight awards, and Bloomington Gold certifications. Factory-specified equipment includes a three-speed automatic transmission paired with a Positraction differential as well as power disc brakes, the J56 heavy-duty brake package, and the F41 heavy-duty suspension package.Introduced in 1967, RPO L88 was developed under the direction of Zora Duntov as a means to offer a competition-oriented variant of the Corvette without running afoul of the corporate racing ban imposed by GM in the early 1960s.
