Few cars capture the spirit of early-1960s American performance
quite like this 1963 Plymouth Fury. Presented in remarkably
well-preserved condition, this classic Mopar combines original
character, documented history, and serious big-block performance in
one exceptionally compelling package.
The car retains its original paint and largely original interior,
offering an authentic glimpse into the golden age of American
muscle. Although the title lists the mileage as exempt, the 4,800
miles showing on the odometer are believed to be original. Adding
to its provenance, this Fury comes accompanied by its original
Broadcast Sheet and Galen Govier authentication documentation.
Originally built with a 318 cubic-inch V8, this Fury received an
immediate engine swap to the legendary 426 Max Wedge, one of the
most celebrated performance engines of the era. The engine has
recently been professionally rebuilt, bored to 440 cubic inches,
and is ready to deliver the unmistakable sound and performance that
make these cars so desirable. Paired with a 727 Torque Flite
automatic transmission, the drivetrain makes for an exciting and
engaging classic driving experience. The car fires right up, runs
strong, and drives great.
The exterior strikes the perfect balance between period-correct
attitude and purposeful performance. Up front, Torq Thrust D wheels
provide a classic muscle-car look, while body-color steel wheels in
the rear preserve a traditional, understated appearance. Radial
performance tires complete the stance.
With its distinctive early-1960s styling, fascinating engine
history, desirable documentation, and impressive overall condition,
this 1963 Plymouth Fury is far more than a vintage cruiser. It is a
piece of Mopar performance history with the presence to turn heads
at any show and the power to make every drive memorable.
A beautifully preserved Fury with a legendary Max Wedge story,
documented provenance, and the unmistakable character of classic
American muscle.
