INTRODUCTION: This is truly one of my favorite cars! The '67 Impala
Fastback is the coolest full size car built. And this one takes
cool to a whole new level! It has undergone a frame-off restoration
and has been upgraded with air ride suspension, a ZZ427 crate motor
topped with Borla stacked fuel injection, and a billet front runner
system. Inside, you'll find a five-speed shifter, and out back
there's a posi rear end. This Impala has the looks, the stance, and
the performance to back it all up. It's absolutely gorgeous and a
blast to drive!
EXTERIOR: The flowing lines of this fastback are absolutely
incredible! The long, sleek body sweeps gracefully into that
sloping fastback roofline, giving it the silhouette of a sports
car. It's amazing how Chevrolet made a car this big look so sporty
and elegant at the same time. This one has a very clean, straight
body, and it's smooth all along the bottoms with no blisters. It
features the rare SS 427 hood with the distinctive chrome grilles,
adding even more muscle to its appearance. The doors open and close
effortlessly. It's been repainted in gorgeous Marina Blue, and
without a vinyl top, those beautiful fastback lines really stand
out. The metallic is laid out evenly, and the finish has a deep,
glossy shine. The majority of the chrome and trim has been
replaced, along with the windshield, rear window, weatherstrips,
and seals. It also has upgraded brighter headlights. The stance is
adjustable with the air ride and the staggered chrome Coys wheels
enhance it even more. 18 inches in front and 20s in back, wrapped
in performance redline tires that are the perfect finishing
touch.
INTERIOR: It has been beautifully restored to its original factory
appearance, with a few tasteful upgrades. The gauges have been
replaced with a set of modern blue lit gauges that resemble the
originals but have an unmistakably updated look. There's also a
retro style stereo neatly fitted into the dash. The most noticeable
upgrade is the custom steering wheel mounted on a polished tilt
column. The door panels and armrests have been replaced with
reproductions, and the seats have been re-cushioned and
reupholstered. It also has a complete set of GM seat belts. The
original center console is in excellent shape and has been updated
with a five-speed shift pattern. Of course, the Hurst shifter
sticking out of it is my favorite part! Looking down, there's fresh
carpet with reproduction floor mats. Looking up, the new headliner
fits nice and tight, complemented by matching visors and a new
mirror. The dash pad has also been replaced. Overall, it's a
beautifully restored interior that maintains its classic '67
character while adding just the right amount of modern convenience
and performance!
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Now this is an impressive engine compartment!
At the heart of it is a GM ZZ427 crate motor making over 480 hp. It
features Bow Tie aluminum heads but the real star of the show is
the Borla stacked fuel injection sitting on top! Those eight
individual intake stacks give it an incredible, almost exotic race
inspired appearance. The front of the motor is dressed with a
billet front runner system, including polished brackets, serpentine
pulleys, a compact A/C compressor, Powermaster alternator, and
modern power steering. It also features a chrome power brake
system. An aluminum radiator, water pump, overflow bottle, and a
large electric fan help keep this big block running cool. Even the
hood hinges have been upgraded to a set of billet hinges.
Performance upgrades include long-tube headers, MSD ignition, and a
Holley Terminator X electronic fuel injection management system.
There's also an external vacuum pump to provide consistent vacuum
for the power brakes, compensating for the big camshaft. This
engine compartment has it all: serious horsepower, modern
technology, and plenty of eye candy!
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Under the trunk lid and throughout the jamb,
it's neatly painted in beautiful Marina Blue. The trunk
weatherstripping has been replaced, and inside you'll find clean,
solid metal. This is also where the air ride system is located,
featuring a polished air tank and dual compressors that look great.
And there's still plenty of room for your lawn chairs and a
cooler!
UNDERCARRIAGE: This Impala has some serious upgrades underneath! It
features a complete Ride Tech suspension system specifically
engineered for this car. This isn't just a set of airbags; it's a
complete performance suspension designed to give the car that ultra
low show stance without sacrificing ride quality or handling. Up
front, it features upper and lower StrongArms, HQ Series
ShockWaves, and a MuscleBar sway bar. In back, it has StrongArms,
an adjustable Panhard bar, CoolRide air springs, HQ Series shocks,
and another MuscleBar sway bar. The steering has also been rebuilt.
The entire braking system was upgraded with disc brakes at all four
wheels, including replaced brake lines and emergency brake
components. The fuel system was replaced and upgraded to
accommodate the modern fuel injection. It has an aggressive
sounding dual exhaust with fat pipes and stainless mufflers,
exiting just ahead of each rear tire. Looking up at the motor,
you'll find an extra capacity anodized oil pan and a high torque
starter. The transmission is a Tremec five-speed manual with a
hydraulic clutch. Out back is a heavy duty 12-bolt rear end with
3.73 Positraction gears. What a perfect combination! The floors
appear to be clean metal painted satin black.
SERVICE: We take pride in our cars and our reputation. Every
vehicle goes through our service department where it is inspected,
test driven, and we address the essentials before offering it for
sale.
CONCLUSION: The '67 Impala Fastback is already one of the coolest
full size cars ever built, but this one takes it to another level.
The gorgeous Marina Blue paint, incredible body lines, and perfect
stance make it a real showstopper. But what really puts it over the
top is that ZZ427 with the Borla stacked fuel injection, five-speed
manual, and performance air ride suspension. It's a fantastic
combination of classic styling, modern performance, and driving
excitement!
