INTRODUCTION: 12,000 hours and a reported half-million dollars went
into this incredible professional build! This '67 Camaro features
extensive custom body modifications, a stunning Steve Holcomb
leather interior, and fully upgraded performance. The quality was
proven on the show circuit, earning 2nd Place at the 2019 Detroit
Autorama and 1st Place at World of Wheels.
After showing the car, the owner invested another $130,700
transforming it from a trailer queen into a car built to be driven
and enjoyed. Sadly, the owner passed away, and this seven year
build has traveled less than 100 miles since completion. This is an
extraordinary opportunity to own a truly special Camaro.
EXTERIOR: It features extensive custom fabrication using all steel.
It has sharpened body lines, seamless molded in spoilers, a custom
lower body kit, refabricated all steel hood, handmade fender
louvers, flushed bumpers and windshield, plus shaved door handles
and locks. Even the gas cap and trunk lock are completely hidden.
Lighting includes hidden red LED headlights behind the custom
grille, blacked out LED taillights, and recessed LED lighting in
the lower side apron vents. The body is finished in a spectacular
custom mixed, 12-stage (yes, 12 layers of paint!) PPG Luminous Red
and by smoked glass. The convertible top is equally impressive with
a rich black premium cloth top custom made by Key Top, featuring a
heated glass rear window. It sits on 19-inch one off, three piece
wheels custom built by ADV.1, wrapped in Nitto NT01 performance
tires. The result is an aggressive, modern stance with an
incredibly clean, seamless appearance.
INTERIOR: It is a full custom creation by the highly recognized
Steve Holcomb at Pro Auto Custom Interiors. It is absolutely first
class, wrapped throughout in premium leather accented with red
double stitching. Virtually every visible surface has been
upholstered- even the glove box, dash top, and face of the dash are
finished in leather. A full length custom console runs between four
individual bucket seats, creating a modern cockpit feel. The custom
door panels feature recessed accent lighting, adding another level
of detail to the already spectacular cabin. Modern amenities
include Dakota Digital gauges, power windows, a touchscreen stereo
with Apple CarPlay and Bluetooth, and a custom leather wrapped
steering wheel mounted on a tilt column. There's premium carpet on
the floor along with the shifter protruding through the console,
seatbelts and drive by wire gas pedal.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: It is every bit as custom and highly detailed
as the rest of the car. At its heart is an aluminum 6.2 LS3 with a
composite intake and electronic fuel injection, factory rated at
430 horsepower and 424 lb-ft of torque! The engine is surrounded by
an exceptionally clean custom bay featuring a smoothed firewall,
custom filler panels, and a completely customized underside of the
hood. Wiring and plumbing have been carefully tucked away for a
sanitary, uncluttered appearance. It features power steering,
Hydroboost power brakes, billet hood hinges, and an upgraded
cooling system to keep the LS3 running cool.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: It was also fully customized by Pro Auto Custom
Interiors to match the cabin. It's completely boxed and upholstered
in premium leather. The panels include hinged compartments
concealing the battery and additional storage. It also features
recessed trunk lighting and a finished false floor with premium
carpet.
UNDERSIDE: It has a fully upgraded chassis engineered for serious
handling and performance. Up front is a smoothed out subframe with
tubular control arms, adjustable coilover gas shocks, and rebuilt
steering. Contoured frame rails connect the front and rear, adding
rigidity and helping prevent body twist. In back is a four-link
suspension with adjustable coilover gas shocks and a splined sway
bar. Stopping power comes from 13-inch Wilwood drilled and slotted
disc brakes at all four wheels. Even the calipers were smoothed and
color matched to the body. The custom exhaust is fabricated from
stainless with an X-pipe, while the entire fuel system was replaced
and upgraded to support the fuel-injected engine. Looking up at the
motor, everything is exceptionally clean and finished in black,
including a Holley oil pan. Power is sent through a 6L80E 6-speed
overdrive automatic transmission and a custom aluminum driveshaft
to a Strange Engineering 12-bolt rear end with 31-spline axles and
3.73 posi gears. The floors are completely clean metal neatly
painted in a black chip guard. Front and back fabricated belly pans
give it a clean appearance.
SERVICE: We take pride in our cars and our reputation. Every
vehicle goes through our service department where it is inspected,
test driven, and we address the essentials before offering it for
sale. Here is a link to the invoices adding up to $130,700 getting
it ready to be driven and enjoyed:
CONCLUSION: The numbers are no joke- 12,000 hours at a professional
shop! Factor in today's labor rates plus the premium materials and
high end components, and recreating this Camaro today could easily
represent a $1.5 million build. With less than 100 miles since
completion, this is an opportunity to own an award winning,
virtually fresh custom for a fraction of what it would cost to
duplicate today. This high-end build is an incredible bargain!
