This 1967 Chevrolet Camaro was privately owned by a good customer
of ours.
The 1967 Camaro is the one that started it all. It was Chevrolet's
first-year answer to the Mustang, and its long-hood, short-deck
shape still defines the American muscle car almost sixty years
later. This example keeps that classic first-generation look in red
over black, but underneath it's a serious, modern performance
build.
The heart of the car is a turbocharged iron-block LS V-8 tuned by
House of Boost. The iron block is the preferred foundation for a
boosted LS build because of its strength under pressure. The heads
were serviced by Noland Performance, and the engine runs a Brian
Tooley Racing Stage 2 cam and an LS6 intake with FAST fuel rails.
Boost comes from an ON3 Performance turbocharger, set up with a 9
lb wastegate spring, and an air-to-water intercooler keeps intake
temperatures in check. Power goes through an automatic transmission
to a 12-bolt rear end with 4.11 gears, so it pulls hard from a
stop.
The chassis was upgraded to match the power, with tubular A-arms
and disc brakes. The engine bay is finished with Taylor plug wires
and heat shields. Inside, a Dakota Digital dash gives you modern,
accurate gauges in a period-correct layout, and Vintage Air means
it's actually comfortable to drive in the Las Vegas heat. As a
custom build, the odometer shows just 350 miles; true mileage on
the car is unknown.
