*1941 Lincoln Continental Custom Coupe* When the Lincoln
Continental debuted in 1940, it was intended to imitate the curvy,
European cars of the era. Edsel Ford found the American cars at the
time too boxy, and challenged Lincoln designer Bob Gregorie to come
up with something more interesting. The result was a stunning coupe
with curvaceous fenders, an exaggerated chrome grille and luxurious
interior. This 1941 Continental Custom Coupe has been thoroughly
restomodded, giving it modern levels of power, performance and
drivability, without altering the stunning exterior shape. Finished
in Champagne Beige, the exterior features chrome wire wheels with
wide white wall tires, rear fender skirts and copious amounts of
chrome on the grille, bumpers and more. Of course, at the rear the
famed "Continental Kit" spare tire is mounted outside of the car,
with a body-matched tire cover. On the inside, red leather covers
the front and rear bench seats, and matching red carpet is
installed throughout. A beautiful wood-grain dashboard features a
pair of chrome ringed dials, with one housing the speedometer, and
the other a multi-gauge to keep tabs on the cars various
temperatures and pressures. As a resto-mod, great to have features
such as a modern stereo head unit, air conditioning and a tilt
steering column are all fitted, making this car much more
comfortable to use every day. In keeping with the Continental
heritage, the original engine was swapped out, and in its place
sits a fuel injected 4.6-liter 32-valve InTech V8 that was found in
the ninth generation Continental, as well as the Mark VIII. From
the factory, this engine produced 280 horsepower and 285 lb-ft of
torque, and this example sends power through a 4-speed manual
gearbox to the rear wheels. For added ease of use, power steering
and disc brakes have been fitted to this car as well. The quality
of this build is immediately evident with just one look at the car,
and when you find out it took five years to complete, it's easy to
understand why. Included with the car are numerous photographs,
diagrams and parts invoices, which give a detailed overview of the
project from start to finish. This is a great chance to acquire one
of the finest luxury cars of the era, made even better with today's
technology. *Key Features* * 5-Year Build * 4.6-Liter 32V V8 * 280
