*1963 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible 327/340* The second generation
Corvette, known as the Sting Ray was a huge step forward for the
marque, taking it from a great looking, quick cruiser, to a real
world-beating sports car. Running from 1963 through 1967, these
cars remain some of the most sought after classic cars on the
market today. This 1963 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible 327/340 is a
stunning example that has been the subject of a full NCRS-quality
restoration in the 2000s, and has the awards to show for it.
Finished in its original shade of beautiful Riverside Red, the car
wears chrome spinner wheel covers, wrapped in thin-line white wall
tires for the perfect period look. In 2007, the car earned its NCRS
Regional Top Flight award, along with a Blue Ribbon the same year.
The striking red vinyl interior features the C2's signature
dual-cockpit design, and has some special 1963-only touches like
stainless steel accents in the gauge faces. As with the rest of the
car, the interior was restored to look like the day it rolled out
of the showroom, and it still presents incredibly well. All
Corvettes in 1963 were fitted with Chevy's famed 327ci V8, but it
was offered in multiple states of tune. This example was one of the
most powerful variants, producing a stout 340 horsepower, making it
one of the quickest cars of the era. This engine is the numbers
matching unit, and is paired to an M20 4-speed manual gearbox,
which sends power to the rear wheels via a 4.11 Positraction rear
end. Even if you don't plan on showing this car, it will be a real
thrill to drive. Offered with an extensive ownership history file,
owner's manual, warranty booklet and NCRS Judging packet and Top
Flight certificate, this car has all the evidence of its show
winning past.If you want to own an icon that has been restored to
factory perfect condition, this NCRS award winning Corvette
Convertible may be the car you're looking for. *Key Features* *
