2006 Ford Mustang Roush Stage 3 €" Supercharged, 82 Actual Miles,
Single Owner Since New Why This Car Is Special The 2006 Ford
Mustang Roush Stage 3 occupies a specific place in the S197 Mustang
story that most people miss. When Ford relaunched the Mustang for
2005 with its retro-forward design and updated 4.6-liter 3-valve
V8, it handed the tuner community a strong platform to work with.
Roush Performance, the Michigan-based operation founded by NASCAR
and endurance racing veteran Jack Roush, responded with a tiered
upgrade system €" Stage 1, Stage 2, and Stage 3 €" each building
on the last. The Stage 3 represented the full package: engine,
suspension, body, and interior all addressed under one roof. What
Roush did to the 4.6-liter 3-valve engine was significant. Their
ROUSHcharger positive displacement supercharger €" a Roots-type
unit €" pushed the factory engine's output from around 300
horsepower to a factory-rated 415 horsepower and 385 lb-ft of
torque. Roush then recalibrated the ECM specifically to match that
hardware, so the engine management and the forced induction were
tuned together rather than bolted on and left to fight each other.
That is an important distinction between a properly engineered
supercharger package and an aftermarket add-on. This particular
2006 Ford Mustang Roush Stage 3 carries Roush serial number
06-2034, which documents it as a numbered, traceable production
vehicle €" not a dealer add-on or post-sale conversion. It has 82
actual miles on the odometer. That is not a typo. The car was
purchased new by Andrew J. Distler, initially titled through his
company Yacht Interior Furnishings, then re-titled to Environmental
Wood Inc. / ENVIRAWOOD, and finally re-titled to Andrew J. Distler
personally. Every title transfer points to the same individual.
This is documented, single-owner history from the day it left the
dealership. The owner did not leave it untouched in a corner. He
chose to commission a full respray using the PPG Deltron system in
Performance White, executed by Graveyard Classics at a cost of
$11,000. He then had System X MACHX 10-Year Ceramic Coating applied
in two coats €" covering the full car, the rims, and the tires. He
replaced the entire brake system, rebuilt and upgraded at a
documented cost of $3,839.47. He replaced the throttle body and
motor assembly, installed new spark plugs and ignition coils, had
the fuel injection and induction system cleaned, and drained and
replaced every fluid in the car €" engine, power steering, brakes,
rear differential, transmission, and coolant. The car was serviced
as if it were going to be driven hard. It was then stored. The
result is a 2006 Ford Mustang Roush Stage 3 that has been
mechanically refreshed and cosmetically refinished, with 82 miles
showing. Features List - Roush Serial Number 06-2034, documented
