GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this 1974 MGB GT for your
consideration. This classic British sports car comes in a beautiful
Carmine Red exterior over a Black interior. Powering this MGB GT is
a 1.8L inline-four engine paired with a 4-speed transmission

system was upgraded with a new alternator, and the overdrive
transmission was rebuilt. Further drivetrain and mechanical work
includes a new clutch with an upgraded carbon-faced release
bearing, new rear axle bearings and seals, a stainless steel
exhaust system, upgraded rear suspension with new springs and
shocks, and a comprehensively renewed four-wheel braking system.
The exterior received an impressive $9,500 in paintwork alone and
features a new front grille, original bumpers, original glass, and
new tires. Inside, this MGB GT features new carpeting, new door
panels, new visors, an original dashboard that has been restored
and refinished, and new rubber seals. Most recently, a new
alternator and battery were installed in September 2026, totaling
$2,088 in work, with a brand-new battery ensuring reliable
starting. This beautifully restored MGB GT represents a
comprehensive investment in preserving and improving a classic
British sports car, and much more. Drive this one out of our

The MGB GT was introduced by British automaker MG in 1965 as a
fixed-roof coupe version of the popular MGB roadster. Designed with
styling assistance from Pininfarina, the GT featured a distinctive
hatchback design that offered additional practicality while
retaining the sporty character of the original MGB. By 1974, the
MGB GT had established itself as an appealing combination of
British sports car performance, classic styling, and everyday
usability. Its 1.8L inline-four engine, compact dimensions, and
responsive handling helped make it a favorite among driving
enthusiasts. The 1974 model year also falls within an important
period in MGB history, as these cars continued to evolve with
changes to safety equipment and exterior details for the North
American market. Today, the MGB GT remains a beloved classic,
appreciated for its timeless design, accessible mechanical layout,
and engaging driving experience.
