In 1961 The Buick Special returned after a short absence of
production and would technically mark the third generation of the
"Special" nameplate and would offer a brand new Unibody platform
and would be offered with a brand new 215 Cubic Inch V8 with 155 HP
or 190 HP with a 4-Barrel carburetor. In 1962 the Buick Special
earned Motor Trend "Car Of The Year" and the Special would only be
built until 1963. This particular car has had an extensive
restoration and is in excellent condition in and out, top to bottom
including a full mechanical reconditioning. This car comes with a
full receipt history of the restoration, additional odds and ends,
car cover and technical books from Buick. This car starts
wonderfully, goes down the road as it should, is fitted with front
disc brakes, has a wonderful sound with a near mint interior.
Everything seems to work as it should inculding the rear window. To
our knowledge, there are no known needs with the exception of
needed a new home. A great cruiser or regional car show candidate.
There are not a ton out there and the asking price doesn't come
close to whats been put in to this car to bring it to this level.
