Up for sale is a super-sharp, strong running 1979 Chevrolet Malibu
Coupe finished in a striking Light Blue Metallic. Blending classic
late-70s G-body styling with serious, upgraded street muscle, this
Malibu is fully sorted and ready to turn heads and burn rubber.
Under the hood sits a brand-new, high-performance Blueprint 396
Stroker V8 engine that delivers incredible torque and a classic V8
rumble. The engine bay is dialed in with top-tier performance
components, featuring a Holley intake manifold and Holley
carburetor setup for crisp throttle response, paired with an HEI
ignition system for reliable spark timing. Exhaust gases flow
through Hedman headers into Flowmaster mufflers, giving the car a
deep, aggressive exhaust note. Power is sent through a 200-4R
4-speed automatic transmission with overdrive and a new Hughes 2500
stall converter paired to a Buick Grand National rear differential
with 3.73 gears, providing the perfect balance of effortless
off-the-line acceleration and relaxed, low-RPM highway
cruising.
The Light Blue Metallic paint presents very nicely across the body
lines, beautifully complemented by clean trim and brightwork
throughout. The car sits on timeless Centerline polished aluminum
wheels wrapped in radial tires, giving it a classic street-machine
stance alongside modern road grip. Power steering and power brakes
ensure every drive is effortless and controlled.
Inside, the cabin features a clean blue cloth-and-vinyl bench seat
interior with a column-mounted shifter. Both the seats and
headliner remain in very nice shape. Drivers can monitor engine
vitals using an aftermarket tachometer mounted directly to the
steering column, along with auxiliary oil pressure and water
temperature gauges installed cleanly beneath the dash.
All key equipment remains in working order, including the gauges,
windshield wipers, blower fan, and stereo system. Accompanying the
car is a dedicated folder of receipts, dyno sheets and build
information detailing the upgrades performed. The odometer
currently reads 47,287 miles, though total actual mileage cannot be
confirmed. A dash pad has been added over the factory dashboard,
and buyers should note that there are some underlying cracks in the
original dash structure.
This is a fantastic-sounding, fast, and comfortable G-body coupe
that brings together modern stroker power with classic styling and
smooth overdrive cruising. We strongly recommend, welcome and
encourage personal or professional inspections of any vehicle in
our inventory prior to purchase. A $339 Documentary Fee will be
added to each vehicle sold. This is the only fee that you will ever
pay at Fuel Required.
