This 2009 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 combines the low-mileage
collectibility of an Atomic Orange C6 Z06 with a professionally
documented forged-engine and twin-turbo performance build. Showing
just 8,225 miles, it retains the unmistakable wide-body Z06
appearance while producing power far beyond the factory-rated 505
horsepower.
At the center of the build is the Z06's 7.0-liter, 427ci LS7 V8.
Vengeance Racing invoices document an extensive teardown and forged
rebuild completed to Vengeance Racing/Proline specifications.
Components listed include Diamond forged pistons, HellFire rings,
Calico-coated main and rod bearings, Katech LS7 rod bolts, a Katech
CSR timing chain, ARP main and head studs, Cometic MLS head gaskets
and Comp high-performance lifters. The rotating assembly was
cleaned, inspected, internally balanced and professionally machined
before final assembly.
The Corvette is currently configured with twin turbochargers, as
identified on an HTR Performance Engineering calibration sheet
dated March 18, 2025. A supplied Dynojet chart records peak output
of 845.9 horsepower at 6,310 rpm and 772.2 lb-ft of torque at 5,060
rpm. Supporting fuel-system upgrades include a Racing Solutions
triple in-tank pump system, braided lines, billet fuel rails and an
Aeromotive fuel-pressure regulator.
Power is controlled through the factory 6-speed manual
transmission, backed by an RPS triple-disc clutch and a Tick
adjustable master cylinder with remote bleeder. The Z06 also
retains its factory dry-sump oiling system, limited-slip rear
differential and 3.42 rear axle ratio. Vengeance Racing invoices
document more than $25,000 in engine, fuel-system, clutch and
supporting performance work.
The Atomic Orange Metallic exterior is paired with a carbon-fiber
front splitter, dark-finished headlamp housings, Z06 rocker
extensions and the factory optional chrome Spider-design wheels.
The wheels are wrapped in Toyo Proxes tires measuring 275/35ZR18 in
front and 325/30ZR19 at the rear. Factory Z06 braking consists of
six-piston front and four-piston rear calipers over cross-drilled
rotors.
Inside, the Ebony cabin is equipped with the desirable 2LZ
Preferred Equipment Group. Features include heated perforated
leather sport seats, driver memory, power telescoping steering
column, Head-Up Display, dual-zone automatic climate control,
factory navigation, Bose premium audio, steering-wheel controls,
keyless access and push-button start. Gloss carbon-fiber-style
console trim complements the performance-oriented cockpit.
Extensive documentation accompanies the Corvette, including its
original window sticker, dealer addendum, owner's manuals, factory
literature, Vengeance Racing invoices, HTR Performance Engineering
calibration sheet and Dynojet results. The original window sticker
shows a total vehicle price of $81,835 before the dealer-installed
battery saver.
With its striking Atomic Orange finish, exceptionally low indicated
mileage, forged 427ci LS7, current twin-turbo configuration and
extensive supporting documentation, this Z06 offers a rare
combination of C6 collectibility and thoroughly developed
high-horsepower performance.
