GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this 1992 Lancia Delta LX, a
distinctive Italian hatchback finished in Madras Blue Metallic over
a gray cloth interior. Designed by the legendary Giorgetto
Giugiaro, the first-generation Delta is celebrated for its sharp,
angular styling and unmistakable European character. This
particular example spent much of its life in the Bassano del Grappa
and Trento regions of Italy before being imported to the United
States in 2024. Showing approximately 64,000 kilometers (40,000
miles), this Delta offers an uncommon opportunity to own a largely
original example of a model rarely encountered on American
roads.
Power comes from a 1.5-liter inline-four engine paired with a
five-speed manual transmission, sending power to the front wheels.
The engine is equipped with a Weber 32/34 TLDA carburetor that was
overhauled in 2025 by Graham Rahal Performance. The seller noted
that the carburetor was running rich and could benefit from
additional tuning. Recent maintenance also includes an oil change,
replacement fuel lines, and servicing of the fuel sending unit. An
Italian service record indicates that the timing belt was
previously replaced, believed to have been completed in 2019. A
battery cutoff switch has also been installed.
The exterior is finished in attractive Madras Blue Metallic,
complemented by black bumpers, a black front grille, rectangular
headlights, and factory-style fog lights. The car rides on 14-inch
multi-spoke alloy wheels that were refurbished in 2024 and are
wrapped in Continental AllSeasonContact tires. The front shock
absorbers were also replaced following the previous owner's
acquisition. The body retains the classic five-door hatchback
configuration, offering a practical layout while maintaining the
distinctive styling that helped establish the Delta's
reputation.
Inside, the gray cloth interior features supportive front bucket
seats, a matching rear bench, and coordinated door panels. The
cabin retains its original European character with a four-spoke
steering wheel, straightforward instrumentation, and a
driver-focused dashboard. Equipment includes power front windows,
an adjustable steering column, central locking on the front doors,
and a tachometer. The interior presents as a largely original
example, with some age-related wear, including a sagging headliner
and wear to the driver's seat upholstery.
Accompanying the vehicle is an Automotoclub Storico Italiano (ASI)
certificate, along with Italian service records, importation
documentation, manufacturer's literature, a fitted car cover, and
assorted spare parts. With its Italian history, documented
importation, low indicated mileage, and recognizable Giugiaro
design, this 1992 Lancia Delta LX is an interesting addition to any
collection of European automobiles. Whether appreciated for its
unique styling, mechanical simplicity, or connection to the
legendary Delta nameplate, this Lancia offers a refreshing
alternative to the more commonly seen European classics.
Price does not include applicable tax, title, license, processing,
and/or $240 documentation fees.
