1986 Chevrolet Silverado shortbed - Awesome example of everyone's favorite shortbed Chevy with tons of character and nicely optioned from the factory with a loaded SPID card still in-tact! Original 1-family owned truck (until 2023) purchased new and special-ordered in 1985 at Smith Chevrolet in Stevenson, Alabama. Nicely documented southern history with a plethora of original dealer paperwork, ownership records and original Alabama title. Truck has tons of "cool factor" with over 40 years of patina, retaining all of it's original two-tone paint and rock solid sheetmetal from front to back. Cab, cab corners, floors, bed, frame, etc all appear to be original and are all rust-free with no issues anywhere. The entire body has also just received a fresh coat of "Patina Sauce", a two-step process to help maintain and preserve it natural luster. Majority of the mechanics have all been recently re-done, making it a comfortable and reliable driver. Powered by the factory 5.0L-V8 engine and TH-350 automatic transmission with power steering, power disc brakes and dual fuel tanks. Truck has been mildly lowered with a 4/6" flip-kit in rear and drop spindles up front for a modern stance. The overall look is complemented by a nicely restored set of factory 15" Rally Wheels with new whiteline radial tires. Interior shows extremely well and very clean in Burgandy tones throughout including correct bench seat, door panels, dash pad, carpet, etc. (NOTE: correct Silverado steering wheel has been added since pics were taken.) Fully equipped with lots of desireable Silverado options such as power windows, power locks, tilt wheel, cruise control, Delco AM/FM radio, rear cargo lamp and COLD A/C! The engine bay and underside have been fully detailed and look nearly brand new, giving a whole new meaning to the old saying "Don't judge a book by it's cover". We all know the Squarebody market has been wild for the past few years but here is a turn-key example ready for work or play without breaking the bank!
