For Sale: 2000 Land Rover Defender 110 in Savannah, Georgia

Motorcar Studio is pleased to offer this 2000 Land Rover Defender 110, a rare five-door model equipped with a soft top, optioned with air conditioning, and powered by a TD5 Turbo Diesel. Finished in silver over terra cotta (reddish-orange) leatherette interior and a tan canvas top, this Spanish-market Defender was recently restored in Barcelona prior to being imported to the US. Very nice paint and body over a solid and rust-free chassis, thanks to the mild climate in Spain (if you're looking for a rust-free Defender, Spain and Italy are where to go). Excellent frame, cross members, floors and bulkhead. Gloss black 16-inch steel wheels are wearing new Cooper Discoverer tires, with a matching spare mounted to a swing-away rear carrier. All exterior lighting has been upgraded with LEDs. Showing just over 222k kilometers, which translates to approximately 138k miles.

Interior was fully refreshed with new seats, floor mats, steering wheel, and canvas top earlier this year as part of the restoration. All gauges are working, and the A/C blows ice cold (air is pretty hard to find on a Defender, and it's so nice to have on summer days). A stout two-inch tubular steel structural frame serves double duty as both a roll bar and support for the canvas top. It also allows for three-point seat belts for both the first and second rows of seating (see pics). The jump seats in the back are equipped with lap belts only.

Under the hood is a 2.5 liter TD5 turbo diesel mated to an R380 five-speed manual transmission. Recent service includes a top-end engine rebuild with a resurfaced head, new timing chain, MAF sensor, belts, etc. In addition to new paint, new interior, and a partial engine rebuild, this Defender saw a comprehensive chassis refresh that included new brake rotors and pads, steering tie rod ends, drive shafts, universal joints, springs, shock absorbers, wheels, and tires. A five-centimeter lift has been installed with Britpart Yellow Series springs and Orange Series shock absorbers. Starts easily and runs and drives great; the only issue to note is a slight gearbox whine at highway speeds.
