The 1969 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 is defined as the pinnacle of
American road-racing heritage wrapped in a street-legal muscle car
body. It was a purpose-built, high-RPM automotive special created
explicitly to qualify Chevrolet for the SCCA (Sports Car Club of
America) Trans-Am racing series. Rather than relying on sheer
big-block engine size, the Z/28 achieved legendary status through
precise engineering, high-revving power, and razor-sharp
handling.
This 1969 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 is finished in Daytona Yellow with a
standard black vinyl interior and is powered by the Legendary 302
cubic-inch V-8 motor factory rated at 290 horsepower.
An exceptionally well-preserved older restoration. The paint on
this Z28 retains a beautiful shine, with light shade variations
upon close inspection. (see photos)
The black vinyl interior shows exceptionally well with no area of
noticeable wear, including a crack free dash, working gauges and
center console with Muncie shifter.
Open the cowl induction hood and you are greeted by a
period-correct, factory-spec 'DZ' 302 V8 engine (Block Stamp
V0321DZ). The engine bay is clean and well-detailed, from the
finned aluminum valve covers to the original-style markings.
The underside of this Z/28 is exceptionally clean, solid, and
highly presentable, mirroring the quality of the upper body. The
floors and sub frame are rust-free and finished in satin black. The
heavy-duty 12-bolt rear end and Muncie 4-speed casing show only the
light, patina of a well-maintained older build, making it a car you
would be proud to display on a lift.
