Welcome to Street Dreams as we celebrate our 28th year in the
classic and muscle car business. The 1940 Ford 1/2-ton pickup is
regarded by many enthusiasts as one of the best-looking
mass-produced trucks ever made. The combination of Eugene Bob
Gregorie's beautiful new styling for Ford's cars and their decision
to adopt this automotive styling for its trucks for the first time
since 1932 resulted in an all-time classic. And the pairing of this
rolling sculpture with the only V8 available in a pickup was a
recipe for an icon. This sweet 1940 Ford needs some TLC, but
there's a lot to love about this stylish gem. A peek beneath the
nearly triangular hood reveals the venerable 221 flathead V8 that's
been augmented with a switchable electric fan and an electric fuel
pump. Additional features include a 3-speed manual transmission,
auxiliary gauges for amps and water temperature, dual outside
mirrors, dual exhaust, a nice wood bed, side mount spare tire, a
good interior, and 6.00-16 wide whitewall tires wrapped around
steel wheels with correct beauty rings and hubcaps. This classic
runs well but does have some paint issues (runs, cracks) that
deserve attention at some point. If this historically important
rolling masterpiece pleases your aesthetic side, call the Texas
Hill Country's premier source for classic cars and the team that
can make your dream a reality. Street Dreams (830-997-1950) is a
