Few classic Ferraris evoke a level of intense enthusiasm as the 250 GTO. Conceived by the company to compete in Group 3 GT racing, it featured a modified variant of the chassis used in the 250 GT SWB and the 3.0L Tipo 168/62 V12 used in the 250 Testa Rossa. Debuting at the 1962 iteration of the 12 Hours of Sebring where the car finished second overall despite competing against the much quicker prototypes, the 250 GTO won the International Championship in their class for 1962-1964, solidifying its legacy in Ferrari’s long-running motorsport history.

With only 36 250 GTOs produced in total and a lasting legacy, the car’s value rose stratospherically in the late 1970s. Today, 250 GTOs routinely fetch over $50 million – one sold privately in 2018 was reported to have netted over $70 million. Naturally, with such small production and such high value, it is no wonder that several companies have produced recreations of the model. One of the most accurate was produced by Scorpion. Called the GTZR, builders who utilized these bodies are able to accurately recreate the 250 GTO to exacting detail.

In March 1962, chassis 3387 GT left Maranello as the second Ferrari 250 GTO ever built. While most of the 36 original GTOs wore Rosso Corsa, this car was finished in the striking Blu Genziana (N.A.R.T. Blue Metallic) with a bold white central racing stripe — the colors under which it raced for Luigi Chinetti’s North American Racing Team. Delivered to Chinetti Motors, it was driven by Phil Hill and Olivier Gendebien to a class win and second overall at the 1962 Sebring 12 Hours, then continued its career at Le Mans and across the American racing circuit. Today, an authentic 250 GTO ranks among the most valuable cars in existence, with the original 3387 GT valued well above $38–$44 million.

The magnificent 1962 Ferrari 250 GTO Recreation featured here is finished in the same livery as 3387: stunning N.A.R.T. Blue Metallic over a Beige full leather interior. This incredible motorcar was subject to a 2,000+ hour build over three years in the UK by marque experts and is among one of the finest recreations of the iconic GTO we've ever come across, featuring incredible attention to detail, the correct sound from an ANSA exhaust, and stunning performance. This expertly constructed recreation captures the essential character of the legendary chassis #3387 GT: the unmistakable silhouette, the racing stance, and that unforgettable livery. It offers what no original can: the pure pleasure of driving one of the greatest competition cars ever built without risking an irreplaceable piece of automotive history. We are proud to offer this incredible work of art to the most sophisticated collector, investor, or enthusiast who wants to drive and enjoy a Ferrari 250 GTO without the 55 million-dollar investment!
