A modern reincarnation of the legendary 300 SL Gullwing Coupe, the
SLS AMG was the first Mercedes-Benz production car since its
illustrious predecessor to feature iconic gullwing doors. It was
also the first Mercedes-Benz to be developed entirely by AMG. The
SLS-short for Super Leicht Sport, or Super Light Sport-is strongly
inspired by the world of aviation. Beneath its lightweight aluminum
bodywork lies a naturally aspirated 6.2-liter AMG V8, hand-built by
a single craftsman in Affalterbach, producing 563 horsepower at
6,800 rpm and 479 lb-ft of torque at 4,750 rpm, paired with a
seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. With its long,
sweeping hood, rear-set cabin and dramatic doors, it unmistakably
captures the spirit of the 300 SL, while bringing that timeless
design into the modern era with an uncompromising sense of luxury
and attention to detail.
This 2011 model-year SLS AMG was completed for the U.S. market in
AMG Magno Monza Grey with a Brown leather interior, complemented by
a well-appointed specification and finely finished details. These
include AMG aluminum trim pieces, an open-pore Silver Ash wood
center console, an AMG Performance steering wheel, the memory
package (driver's seat, steering column, and mirrors), automatic
climate control, a complete Sirius satellite radio system,
automatically dimming interior and exterior mirrors, and a
rear-view camera. The complete equipment list is included in the
file.
Delivered new through Mercedes-Benz of Wappingers Falls, New York,
in 2010, the car soon made its way to Arizona, where it was
regularly serviced, initially primarily at Ferrari Maserati
Scottsdale, and received an engine inspection at Mercedes-Benz of
Chandler in 2015. That same year, the SLS AMG moved to California,
where it was regularly serviced by Mercedes-Benz of Beverly Hills
and Mercedes-Benz of Laguna, before leaving the state in 2018 for
Nevada. Since then, it has been exclusively serviced and maintained
by Fletcher Jones Imports of Las Vegas, an authorized Mercedes-Benz
dealer and Elite AMG Performance Center.
Documented by a clean CARFAX Vehicle History Report, this striking
SLS AMG benefits from a very recent service performed at 31,009
miles by Mercedes-Benz in August 2026, including a completed
maintenance inspection, brake inspection, brake fluid flush and
replacement, and an oil and filter change.
