Super clean Square Body pickup. Corvette LT1 fuel injected V8 with
700R4 4-speed automatic. Beautiful paint and interior with custom
gauges. Wood bed. New wheels and tires. A very appealing truck with
the heart of a Corvette!?These trucks are popular today because
everyone owned one back in the day. But that also means they lived
hard lives and had to work for a living, so survival rates are
surprisingly low. That's why trucks like this 1982 Chevrolet C10
pickup are in demand today. Wearing a great combination of
turquoise and white, it has a clean look that's neither modern nor
dated. It's exactly right. The bodywork underneath is super
straight and it doesn't look like this particular C10 ever suffered
on a job site. The doors fit well, the sheetmetal isn't banged up,
and it certainly never had rust issues. You'll note cool details
like the oversized side mirrors, the stripes dividing the turquoise
from the white, and OEM trim that looks right. In fact, just about
the only non-stock pieces we can find on the exterior are the
little Corvette-style emblems on the front fenders, a vintage 'Fuel
Injection' badge on the tailgate, and that lovely wood bed with
stainless rub strips. There's also a new diamond-plate step bumper
and a receiver hitch, just in case. This truck attracts a lot of
attention everywhere it goes!?Inside it's mostly OEM equipment,
including the durable black vinyl bench seat and door panels. Plush
carpets are a thoughtful addition, helping to make the C10 feel a
bit more upscale, and it's loaded with options including cold A/C,
power windows and locks, and a tilt steering column. The factory
gauges have white faces, but the original auxiliary gauges have
been supplanted by a trio of aftermarket dials under the dash. And
Chevy experts will quickly notice that this truck was originally
powered by a diesel, so it sports dual fuel tanks with a switch on
the dash (we have not tested it, however). The original AM/FM radio
is still in the dash and sounds pretty good for being 40+ years
old, and there's a cupholder neatly attached to the seat bottom.
Even the padded headliner is in great shape and all the weather
seals have been replaced.?The original diesel is long gone,
replaced by a 350 cubic inch LT1 V8 from a C4 Corvette. Obviously
it's an easy fit in the C10's engine bay, and by keeping it mostly
stock, it remains one of the most reliable powerplants of recent
times. Color-matched 'Corvette' covers add a splash of color, but
the rest looks OEM, which speaks highly of the care that went into
the engine swap. Power steering and power disc brakes are also part
of the package, using factory parts so it all works properly. The
700R4 4-speed automatic transmission was likely also sourced from
the Corvette that donated its engine, and it shifts properly and
offers an overdrive gear for easy highway cruising, even with the
4.10 gears out back. Yeah, it's punchy around town but still
settles down at speed. The cab has probably never been off the
frame, but it's quite solid underneath if not detailed for show,
and a custom dual exhaust system gives it a nice rumble that never
gets annoying. Fresh 15-inch Torque Thrust style wheels with black
centers look fantastic on the vintage C10, and are wrapped in
215/70/15 white letter radials for a sporty look.?It's easy to
understand why these trucks remain popular after all these years.
Handsome, fun to drive, and still practical, they're the ideal
hobby vehicle. Someone has spent quite a bit of money upgrading
this beautiful C10, and it's 100% ready to cruise right now. Call
