This was a 4 year 'restofurbishment', and is now arguably one of
the best examples around... Possibly nationally. Yes... It is not
done to stock. Liberties were taken over the entirety of the car so
if you're an absolute purist, this is not the car for you. In my
humble opinion, the car is much closer now to the way Bertone
intended it, vs. years of tacked on regulations. The body and paint
is near arrow-straight. The engine is completely rebuilt with
slightly larger positions, sport cam, refinished head and valves,
'ABARTH' intake with larger X-1/9 carburetor, new exhaust,
electronic ignition and fuel pump, and the list goes on. All gauges
work, temp runs cool and oil pressure incredibly healthy. Interior
is largely from a donor '68 car, and the top is newly installed
O/S. The heater core has been refurbished but it's not hooked up.
Headlights and taillights are LED, and rear lenses are 3D printed
to both add to the styling of the car and to preserve the nearly
irreplaceable originals. Entirely new braking system, and clutch.
This car is NOT a perfect museum piece. It is a usable, driveable,
exceptional example of a car that's incredibly rare to be seen on
American roads. Receipts for just about everything go with the car,
and multiple dozens of photos and videos of work in progress as
well. (New) Heater Core not connected. Won't be speed shifted into
2nd gear. 72,000 Miles slight scale in a few spots underneath.
