Owned by MS CLASSIC CARS employee Randy Lillibridge since 1989, this Mustang has been cherished for 37 years. Randy purchased the car at just 15 years old and began a comprehensive restoration in 2007, completing it in 2011. The finished Mustang was invited to the Carlisle Ford Nationals and featured in the February 2012 issue of Mustang Monthly magazine, which is included with the sale.
According to its Elite Marti Report, this Mustang was built June 23, 1967, at Ford's Metuchen, New Jersey assembly plant. Originally delivered as a Brittany Blue GT S-code 390 V8 with a 4-speed manual transmission, it was sold new at Tasca Ford in East Providence, Rhode Island, on July 5, 1967. It is one of just 238 Brittany Blue 1967 Mustang Fastbacks produced with the 390 V8 and 4-speed combination and reportedly one of one with its exact factory options.
The exterior showcases its original Brittany Blue paint, correct GT white rocker stripes, a Boss 429-style hood scoop, restored chrome and trim, and Mustang-style 15-inch wheels wrapped in BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires. Extensive sheet metal replacement and careful attention to body alignment contribute to its outstanding presentation.
Inside, the cabin features black TMI bucket seats with extra bolstering, Shelby-style lap belts, a Vintage gauge pod, restored factory components, and new upholstery, carpeting, headliner, and door panels. The Brittany Blue trunk compartment is finished with a correct-style trunk mat.
Under the hood, the built 468ci V8 features a 428 crankshaft, Eagle H-beam connecting rods, forged pistons, a COMP roller camshaft, roller rockers, Edelbrock aluminum cylinder heads, a Blue Thunder PI intake manifold, and an AED 750 CFM carburetor. Additional highlights include MSD electronic ignition, Hooker Super Comp ceramic headers, a 3-inch dual exhaust system with MagnaFlow mufflers, and a Wizard Cooling aluminum radiator.
Power is delivered through a Tremec TKO 600 5-speed manual transmission, McLeod street clutch, custom driveshaft, and Strange 9-inch Tru-Trac rear end with 31-spline axles and 4.00 gears. The detailed undercarriage features frame connectors, suspension upgrades, and SSBC four-wheel disc brakes with drilled and slotted rotors.
With approximately 1,000 miles driven since restoration, this professionally presented 1967 Mustang Fastback GT is an exceptional opportunity for collectors and enthusiasts seeking a high-performance classic Ford Mustang with documented history, long-term ownership, magazine coverage, and serious street-machine credentials.
