And this chassis is one of Toyota's most durable too, the leaf-sprung Land Cruiser is an iconic machine in the most remote parts of the world for good reason.This particular HJ61 is a well used, but well loved, example that was imported from France's mountainous Simiane-Collongue region. It has cosmetic wear and tear, really more battle scars and patina compared to neglectful damage, so make sure to dig through photos to ensure this is what you want out of a Land Cruiser - but for those looking for a presentable wheeling machine, this offers a lot of machine to the right type of Toyota enthusiast. It appears to have had the paint redone in the past, as well.Especially with the factory combination of a turbo-diesel with selectable front and rear lockers, a rarity in this body style and one of the few we've ever come across. The suspension has lift springs and shocks, though we cannot identify which brand. The wheels are 15-inch alloys with 35x12.5R15 BFG K02 all-terrains. Up front, a Warn M12000 D2 heavy-duty 12,000lb winch is sandwiched between the factory front bumper and frame with a stout winch mount. And as mentioned, the K054 axle code translates to a 3.70 axle ratio with selectable lockers, housed in Toyota's beefy 9.5-inch ring gear axles.It's a great platform for an overland build at this stage in its life, but is an equally qualified candidate for restoration.
