This 1969 Chevrolet Camaro SS combines classic first-generation
Camaro styling with a thoroughly upgraded drivetrain, chassis,
braking system and interior. Finished in a sharp silver metallic
with charcoal SS-style striping, this Camaro underwent an extensive
restoration and mechanical rebuild with substantial supporting

Extensive restoration/service documentation included
Under the hood is where this Camaro separates itself from a typical
restoration. The original-style small-block configuration has been
replaced by a purpose-built 437ci Chevrolet V8 based around a DART
block, fitted with AFR aluminum cylinder heads and a hydraulic
roller valvetrain. Fuel delivery is handled by a modern Holley EFI
system, providing much of the response and drivability expected
from electronic fuel injection while retaining the character of a
large-displacement small-block.
Power is sent through a Turbo 400 automatic transmission to a
12-bolt Positraction rear axle with 3.73 gearing. The combination
provides a strong, straightforward drivetrain well suited to the
Camaro's performance-focused build.
Considerable attention was also paid to the chassis. Restoration
documentation shows extensive structural and suspension work,
including installation of a replacement front subframe, renewed
body-mount components and substantial rear chassis repairs. The
suspension was modernized with RideTech components, including front
coilovers and a rear 4-link arrangement, along with upgraded sway
bars and supporting hardware.
Braking was likewise brought well beyond original specifications.
The Camaro is fitted with Wilwood power disc brakes at all four
corners, including large drilled and slotted rotors and red Wilwood
calipers clearly visible behind the polished wheels. Michelin Pilot
Sport tires measure 215/45ZR17 up front and 245/45ZR17 at the
rear.
The silver metallic body is accented by charcoal striping extending
across the cowl-induction-style hood and rear deck spoiler. SS
grille badging, Camaro SS fender emblems, front spoiler, rear
spoiler and polished brightwork preserve the unmistakable
appearance of a '69 Camaro while the lowered stance and modern
wheel package give the car a more contemporary attitude.
Inside, the build retains the traditional Camaro theme with a
particularly attractive black and houndstooth interior. Bucket
seats and matching rear upholstery are joined by woodgrain trim, an
SS steering wheel and a performance floor shifter. A complete
AutoMeter Sport-Comp gauge package replaces the original
instrumentation and includes a large tachometer, 160-mph
speedometer and supporting engine-monitoring gauges.
The cabin was also extensively addressed during the restoration,
with new carpeting, insulation and sound-deadening material
installed to improve refinement. Air conditioning adds another
important comfort feature for regular street use.
One of the strongest aspects of this Camaro is the accompanying
documentation. A substantial binder of invoices records extensive
mechanical and structural work performed during the restoration,
including chassis repair, replacement suspension components,
rear-end work, wiring, braking upgrades, body-mount replacement and
numerous supporting repairs.
This is not simply a stock Camaro with an upgraded engine. It is a
comprehensively developed 1969 Camaro SS-style restomod combining a
437ci DART-based small-block, TH400 transmission, 12-bolt Posi,
RideTech suspension, Wilwood brakes, modern EFI and a beautifully
executed classic interior. It delivers the appearance enthusiasts
want from a first-generation Camaro while incorporating major
mechanical upgrades aimed at making the car significantly more
capable and enjoyable to drive.
