Survivor Classic Car Services Chicago is proud to present this
re-interpretation of an antique. This Model A Replica is titled as
a 1980 model year, but based on a 1929 design. Under the fiberglass
bodywork is a 2.3L Ford inline-4 cylinder engine and 4-speed manual
transmission sourced from a Ford Pinto of the era. This makes
considerable more power than the original Model A made! Coupled
with all the weight savings of a fiberglass body vs. steel and this
is a much peppier drive than the original, as well!
This Shay has been in the same family for decades, and has been
with the same owners since ~1993. It has been garage kept in that
time and given any mechanical work required to keep it running in
top shape. The fuel-sipping engine fires right up and settles into
a smooth idle. The transmission floats effortlessly from gear to
gear and the clutch grabs linearly, without any jerking or
stuttering. The tires were just replaced and have virtually no
miles on them! Being a fiberglass body means it will never rust,
giving you one less thing to worry about for your next classic car!
Fold the top down, grab some friends to hop in the rumble seat, and
feel the wind in your hair as you row through the gears on this fun
and classic Model A replica!
