1965 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu SS. FRAME-OFF RESTORATION - APPROX.
$50,000 IN RESTORATION RECEIPTS!!! 396 engine, working AC and
Automatic Transmission. Includes numerous pages of documentation,
restoration photographs, records, receipts, and original 65'
Chevelle booklets. Finished in Madeira Maroon Metallic, the body
features laser-straight bodywork with no visible rippling, sanding
marks, or other imperfections aside from two paint flaws shown in
the photos. Otherwise, this car's paint and body are nearly
perfect. All exterior chrome, weather stripping, and windows have
been replaced, and the car sits on chrome Pacer wheels wrapped in
BFGoodrich raised white-letter tires. Power comes from a 396
cubic-inch V8 paired with a three-speed automatic transmission.
Engine equipment includes a four-barrel Holley carburetor, MSD
ignition, Taylor spark plug wires, ceramic-coated headers, a
Be-Cool dual electric radiator fan, and an aluminum TCI oil pan.
Additional equipment includes AIR CONDITIONING (blows cold), CPP
power steering, and CPP power front brakes. Inside, the
parchment/white interior features a new gauge cluster,
period-correct Delco push-button AM radio, new headliner, carpet,
and dash. The chassis features a rear sway bar, Pure Muscle
traction bars, and springs and shocks replaced during the
restoration. Beautifully painted gloss black floor pans. The
battery has been relocated to the trunk and includes a battery
disconnect kill switch. Included with the car in the trunk is a
spare tire, two Chevelle floor mats, two tire irons, and the
extensive restoration documentation. This is an excellent
show-quality driver that is sure to turn heads wherever it goes. It
runs fantastic, delivers an unmistakable 396 rumble, and runs and
drives like a scolded dog. With its gorgeous appearance, striking
color, and strong-running drivetrain, this Chevelle is one heck of
a muscle car. Odometer reads 93,411 miles, but less than 8,000 of
them since restoration, which was completed 15 years ago. Has
always been stored in a climate-controlled garage.
