The Panamera is a revolutionary model for Porsche. It combines their longstanding performance heritage with a luxurious, spacious sedan to yield a fantastic automobile. Then, to deliver more excitement, the Turbo S version offers a robust 562 hp twin turbo V8 and 7-speed PDK transmission. But what if you want something that takes the Panamera even further? That would be the Executive model. With its extended wheelbase and remarkable features it really makes a statement. And with an MSRP in excess of $227k it was meant for a special type of buyer.
This 2014 Panamera Turbo S Executive shows 36k miles since new. It is a very impressive automobile with a wheelbase nearly 6” longer than the standard design’s. And despite such generous proportions it still manages 24 mpg on the highway. The Dark Blue Metallic paint gives it a subdued look, while the 20” Panamera Sport wheels and massive yellow brake calipers help reveal its true nature. All leading surfaces have PPF protection to help preserve the finish.
As a Turbo S this model is equipped with a 4.8L twin-turbo V8 with a factory rating of 570 hp. Highlights include direct fuel injection, variable camshaft timing, and dry sump lubrication. This is backed by Porsche’s remarkable 7-speed PDK dual clutch transmission feeding an active all-wheel drive system. It is far more drivetrain than you might expect from such a luxury vehicle. The brakes are equally impressive with enormous ceramic composite rotors measuring 16.1” in front and 13.8” in back. Talk about stopping power! The adaptive air suspension ensures an appropriate ride for all conditions, while the sport exhaust system and active rear spoiler are always a hit.
Looking inside reveals the beautiful natural leather interior in Cognac - and there is lots of it! The front seats certainly offer more space than you might expect from a Porsche, but the rear section is something else entirely with enough legroom for the tallest of passengers. The car is absolutely loaded with features including heated / ventilated power seats, 4-zone climate control, heated steering wheel, power sunroof, power tailgate, color touch screen, and Bluetooth. It keeps going with soft close doors, electric window blinds, thermal / noise insulated glass, and rear vanity mirrors. And to put it over the top there is a Burmester high end sound system, dual rear seat entertainment systems, and a rear refrigerator! Be sure to check out the window sticker for all the details.
The Executive represents a special combination of performance, size, and luxury. And given the lofty sticker price (equivalent to $325k in today’s dollars) you might expect as much. You won’t find many of these on the market, especially as a Turbo S with only 36k miles and such a bevy of options. This is a great opportunity to own such a prestigious automobile at a fraction of its original cost.
