Here is a good-looking 1977 Chevrolet Corvette Coupe that offers
plenty of classic Corvette style, V8 performance, and driving
enjoyment without the price tag of a show-quality example! Finished
in Silver with a Black cloth interior, this Corvette is a very
solid, driver-quality example that runs and drives great and has a
lot going for it.
Under the hood is the L48 350 cubic-inch V8 engine backed by an
automatic transmission. It is equipped with power steering, power
brakes, and factory air conditioning, although the A/C is currently
inoperative due to a bad compressor. The exhaust system has been
modified to eliminate the secondary mufflers, giving this Corvette
a nice, throaty V8 exhaust note that sounds just right without
being overly aggressive.
The exterior has a great stance thanks to a sharp set of American
Racing chrome alloy wheels wrapped in BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires.
The Silver paint shines very nicely and gives the car an attractive
appearance, especially from a few feet away. We do want to be very
straightforward about the paint, however. This is an
average-quality repaint that shows imperfections in various areas
upon closer inspection. From 10 feet away, it looks great, but if
you are extremely particular about paint quality or looking to take
home the trophy for Best Paint at your next car show, this probably
isn't the Corvette for you!
What this Corvette does offer is a very solid, good-looking classic
that runs, drives, shifts, and handles the road very well. It has
the right combination of classic Corvette styling, a dependable
small-block Chevy V8, automatic transmission, great-looking wheels,
and that unmistakable V8 sound.
Not every Corvette needs to be a trailer queen or a perfectly
restored show car to be enjoyable. Sometimes it's more fun to have
one you can actually get out and drive without worrying about every
little stone chip or blemish!
If you are looking for an attractive, solid-driving 1977 Corvette
that you can get in, turn the key, and enjoy, this one is certainly
worth a look!
