Just Arrived !! 1974 Volkswagen VW Microbus Recently Restored, New
Interior. Originally intent was on function, but today it is a
timeless piece of moving art. Volkswagen began production of the
second generation Type 2 Bus in late 1967 and it continued through
1979. It was the forerunner to the many cargo and passenger vans
that covered our landscape in the 80's and 90's. This 1974 Kombi
Microbus has undergone a complete restoration and is a true quality
example of this iconic vehicle. Its exterior was professionally
refinished in two-stage Brilliant Orange and Pastel White. The
interior was restored to better-than-original with new orange/white
vinyl seat upholstery and door cards. New carpeting was installed
and the headliner is in very good condition. Power is provided by
the 1.8L Type 4 air-cooled VW 4-cylinder. Factory rated at 67bhp,
with a new custom exhaust system. This boxer motor is backed by a
4-speed manual transaxle and runs and drives excellent. The solid
chassis sports new rear half shafts/CV joints, 4-wheel drum brakes
and steel wheels with nice radial tires. If you want to re-live the
'70's fun this 1974 Volkswagen Microbus is for you !!
