With a Factory Price of 7,751.00 dollars the Cadillac Eldorado of 1971 was one of the most luxurious examples brought to market by a American car maker. For 1971 only 6,800 were built in the 188,537 total production of the Cadillac marque. 1970/ 1971 was a hard year for the automaker a UAW Strike began around the same time the new models were to be delivered the demand was high and production was scarce… This early production body number 000163 example was built on December 9th 1970 features 8 vent factory flow through ventilation rear deck louvers , which was rare as only 4 vent louvers were seen in later produced cars.
Originality features of this particular vehicle include 53,000 original miles believed to be accurate. Finished in its original color of one of the most striking and desirable of the line up the Bavarian Blue, its original chrome, stainless steel, glass and carpet still intact and like new. Its original Sierra grain leather interior is to die for and sits comfortably . Its working mechanics are all in order and many new items have been addressed to ensure reliability and function, unique noting the headlight dimmer switch operation which you almost never find operating properly. New for this era introduced just a few years earlier was front wheel drive and coil rear suspension, it gives this Cadillac a cruise like no other and leaves the Driver with an impressive and awe inspiring feeling.
Do not hesitate, miss out or wait this Cadillac will not last long, it’s a stunning and I mean a stunning example so stunning it obtained a Junior 1st prize at the Antique Automobile Club of American Meet in Las Vegas Nevada ( and YES it DROVE THERE !!) . I have personally driven the car on numerous occasions and over 85 miles I day I picked it up, no concerns I hoped right in an drove it home on the highway. One of the best engines for this year was the 365hp 500 Cubic inch V8 that gives it plenty of power and a muscle luxury car feeling. That went away in 72 for a boring 235hp rating out of the same 500ci V8, 1971 was commonly known as the last of the great ones. This is by far one of the finest 70’s era Cadillacs you will find, call us anytime we can be reached at 619-451-2130 David Young
