Melanson Motors is proud to offer this amazing restomod 1964 Mercury Comet Cyclone. This a real K code, Los Angeles built Cyclone. The car also has a 52 code DSO indicating it was Los Angeles sold from new. This nut and bolt restored example comes with several tasteful upgrades for a more comfortable driving experience. You would be hard pressed to find a nicer Mercury Cyclone anywhere. This restomod build started as a rust free California car and still retains its original panels and apron VIN numbers. It is powered by a strong running 347 stroker engine mated to a 5 speed Tremec transmission. The rear end is a Ford 9 inch Trac Lock. This Mercury has four wheel Wilwood disc brakes. The suspension is all new or rebuilt with polyurethane bushings. The dark green metallic paint is absolutely stunning! The body is laser straight and the seams and gaps are perfect. All the chrome and stainless on this Cyclone is in excellent condition. Underneath, this Mercury is better than new. It has all new brake lines, fuel lines, gas tank and hardware. The undercarriage is painted satin black and looks great. It has Cal-Trac bars and dual exhaust with Flowmaster mufflers. The custom tan leather interior is very tidy and well done. The car has bucket seats and a floor shifter. It also has new carpet, door panels, and headliner with a sharp looking wood rimmed steering wheel. The dash and gauge cluster are original style and everything works as it should! This Mercury Cyclone rides on 15" American Racing Salt Flat wheels. They are wrapped in BF Goodrich Radial T/A tires. This Mercury starts and runs perfectly. It sounds mean! It cruises great even at highway speeds and has nice upgrades! An over restored, no excuses, 1964 Mercury Comet Cyclone.
