"The 1964 Chevrolet Corvette Sting Ray equipped with the L84 engine
represents the absolute pinnacle of Chevrolet's first-generation
small-block development. Combining Larry Shinoda's iconic C2 design
with race-bred mechanical fuel injection, it was one of the most
formidable sports cars of its era. The defining characteristic of
this specific model is its 327 cubic-inch V8 engine, designated by
factory regular production option (RPO) code L84."
This 1964 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible L84 is finished in
Riverside Red with a black leather interior, black vinyl soft top,
and red hardtop. This Corvette is powered by the legendary 327
cubic inch "fuelie" motor factory rated at 375 horsepower and 350
lb.-ft of torque and is paired to a 4-speed M22 manual transmission
with power being sent to the posi-traction rear differential.
The Riverside Red paint on this Corvette Convertible presents very
well, showing wear consistent with a lightly used classic car. The
black vinyl top, replaced in 2024, is in flawless condition, and
the chrome and stainless trim are also very well preserved.
The interior of this Corvette features black leather upholstery,
three-spoke wood grained steering wheel and a floor mounted
shifter. The black low-profile loop carpeting is free of any
excessive wear although there is some scattered fading. Please note
the currently the tachometer and fuel gauge are inoperable.
Under the hood, the detailed engine bay houses the L84 Rochester
fuel-injected motor, which starts quickly with a turn of the key
and delivers smooth power through the 4-speed M22 transmission. The
engine stamping is shown in the photo array, the RF-suffix
corresponds with a 375-horsepower motor.
This 1964 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible is rolling on 15"
knock-off wheels that are wrapped in white wall tires.
This Corvette has a well-documented maintenance history and is
ready for the next Corvette enthusiast.
