Since September 1999, Street Dreams Texas has been bringing classic
American muscle and collector cars to enthusiasts around the world.
Located in Fredericksburg, Texas, we occasionally come across
projects that offer a different kind of opportunity for the right
buyer. This 1959 Chevrolet Bel Air is one of those projects,
offering a foundation for someone ready to take on a full
restoration or custom build. Recently acquired alongside two other
Bel Airs, this '59 is a project car that is currently disassembled
and does not drive. A 454 cubic-inch V8 and four-speed manual
transmission are mounted in the car, and the video of the motor
running is attached, although the mileage and operating history of
the engine and transmission are unknown. The engine block casting
number, 361959, is consistent with a Chevrolet 454 big-block
casting used during the 1970s through 1990, but the exact engine
specifications have not been verified. The car appears to retain
much of what is needed for a complete build, though prospective
buyers should inspect it in person to determine what is present and
what additional parts or work will be required. One important
advantage is that this Bel Air comes with a title, unlike the two
other Bel Air projects acquired with it. It is being sold as-is,
where-is, and should be considered a project requiring substantial
work rather than a running, driving vehicle. If a classic Chevrolet
project with big-block power and a four-speed transmission sounds
like the right starting point, we encourage you to come see it in
person. Street Dreams Texas is located in Fredericksburg, Texas,
and we invite serious buyers to call 830-997-1950 to discuss the
car, ask questions, and arrange a visit. Financing, insurance, and
worldwide delivery options are available where applicable.
