We sold this Speedster brand new to the first owners who lived in Southern California in October 2023. They sent me messages early in their ownership telling me how much they were enjoying the car and I did not hear back from them until recently. While they were enjoying the car they just found they were not using it like they thought they would and with busy schedules and other sports cars in their garage they decided they would let it go to someone else who would drive it more often. They told me it had under 250 miles and still looked like new and they were right! I told them I would be happy to sell it for them and had the car transported to us here in Alpharetta , GA and it is ready for some amazing fall driving without the wait time of a new build.
This sexy Seal Gray Metallic Speedster looks like new and the fit and finish most likely exceeds the original. The body is adorned with Porsche badging on the nose, rear and dash. Paint and body are essentially flawless This one has the beehive styled taillights and a Spyder shine down license plate light. It also has the fluted glass on the headlights.
I always recommend driving these cars top down but of course it also has a brand new black canvas soft top. Window inserts are also provided and it has a matching black boot cover when the top is down for a clean, sophisticated look.
Accenting the seal gray metallic exterior is an equally stunning tan leather interior. The Speedster seats are very comfortable. Matching dash pad and passenger side grab handle. Period correct VDO gauges with GPS Speedometer and a digital odometer allow the driver to monitor the speed and performance of this air cooled Speedster. Beautiful woodgrain steering wheel with a vintage style turn signal lever adds to the authenticity. Turn the key and let the fun begin!!! With just under 250 miles put on it since new this baby has barely been broken in. Since it was in Southern California I had them take the car to the builder for its break in oil change and valve adjustment so it is ready to roll. As impressed as I was with the cosmetic improvements on these new builds I am equally impressed with the performance these new cars offer. The 2332 cc. was a brand new, fully balanced motor with top quality components from CB Performance and built by Pat Downs Performance.Rated at 125 hp with the dual Kadron carburetors and 8.2:1 compression ratio this motor pulls strong and crisp. I would be happy to provide more technical data on the engine build for those who need it. Transmission is a 3.44 ring and pinion for easy highway cruising. This combination provides excellent torque and acceleration in 1st-3rd and also allows easy highway cruising at 75 mph. Empi 5 lug 5x205mm 4 wheel disc brakes stop this Speedster precisely with ease. Other features include electronic ignition, stock dog house oil cooler and remote 72pass oil cooler with electric fan thermostatically controlled, Polished Vintage 190 Aluminum 5 lug wheels, and more. Great tone from the A1 performance single exit exhaust. The undercarriage is also nicely detailed and floorpan protected with a bed liner material to ensure it lasts the test of time.
