For sale: a beautifully restored Pontiac Chieftain Deluxe Sedan. It features a professionally rebuilt original L8 engine and Hydramatic transmission. All wiring has been replaced with new YnZ (factory original) electric wiring. Chrome components have been replated and stainless steel polished. While mostly original, the car includes several upgrades: 12v conversion, Powergen alternator, front disc brake conversion, electric windshield wipers, firewall-mounted boosted master cylinder, 15" radial tires, and power steering. The interior has been completely restored with a custom-made kit, Autometer aftermarket gauges and a wood grained dashboard and steering wheel. New leaf springs are included (purchased but not installed), and all rubber molding and gaskets are new. This "frame-on" restoration comes with a full set of receipts. The car starts, runs, and drives beautifully. Fenders, hood, and trunk were tank-dipped and stripped clean. The paint shows minor chips and scratches, but the car cleans up nicely. Always a head-turner at local drive-ins. Unfortunately, I'm unable to enjoy this car anymore so it is now being offered to someone who will appreciate and enjoy it.
