Some Mustangs look good in pictures and disappoint the second you
get close.
This badass '66 sure as hell isn't one of them.
This 1966 Ford Mustang Coupe was restored approximately four years
ago, and the mileage showing is the mileage accumulated since the
build. Even better, the previous owner had this Mustang for 25
years and cared enough about the car to restore it twice during his
ownership.
Originally out of Texas, this is a rust-free car finished in its
original Tahoe Turquoise Metallic with a matching Turquoise vinyl
interior-and the combination is absolutely killer. This isn't
another red, black, or white Mustang you'll see five more of at the
next cruise night.
This color grabs your attention and doesn't give it back.
And trust us, this baby is every bit as clean as it looks in the
pictures.
A LITTLE MORE BITE UNDER THE HOOD
Forget about some tired old stock small-block.
Power comes from a rebuilt 302 roller motor sourced from a 1993
Mustang GT. The engine went through the machine shop and received
the full treatment before being topped with an Edelbrock Performer
RPM Top End Kit modified for the roller setup and an Edelbrock
Rollin' Thunder hydraulic roller camshaft.
A deeper-capacity oil pan rounds out the package.
The result is exactly what you want in a classic Mustang-old-school
looks with a small-block that has some attitude when you put your
foot into it.
THREE PEDALS. FOUR GEARS. NO BORING SHIT.
Backing that 302 is a rebuilt Ford Toploader 4-speed manual
transmission that went into the car fresh with the engine.
No automatic doing the work for you.
Grab the shifter, dump the clutch, and DRIVE the damn thing.
Out back is a Ford 9-inch rear end with 3.91 gears and
Positraction, giving this Mustang the gearing and backbone to make
that roller 302 a hell of a lot more entertaining when the road
opens up.
Stopping power comes from front disc brakes with rear drums, giving
you a solid, proven setup without taking away from the classic feel
of the car.
THE STANCE FINISHES IT OFF
A set of 17-inch Ridler wheels puts the finishing touch on the
exterior and gives this Mustang exactly the stance it deserves.
Modern enough to sharpen up the look without turning a beautiful
'66 Mustang into something it was never supposed to be.
And that Tahoe Turquoise Metallic absolutely comes alive against
them.
Rust-free Texas body.
Original Tahoe Turquoise Metallic color.
302 roller motor.
Edelbrock top end.
Hydraulic roller cam.
Toploader 4-speed.
Ford 9-inch.
3.91 Positraction.
17-inch Ridlers.
This Mustang has the history, the color combination, the
drivetrain, and the stance.
There's just something about this car that makes you keep looking
back at it every damn time you walk away.
The only problem?
Eventually you're going to get tired of looking at the pictures and
realize the only way to fix that is to put this Tahoe Turquoise
badass in YOUR garage.
