1960 Ford F-100 Custom Restomod
This beautiful 1960 Ford F-100 Custom Restomod is a show-quality,
frame-off build combining classic Ford styling with modern
performance, comfort, and drivability. An important detail of the
build is that the truck is titled as a 1960 F-100 but features the
front-end sheet metal and styling from a 1957 F-100, giving it the
highly desirable early look. With only approximately 300 miles
driven since completion, the entire truck still presents
exceptionally well.
Finished in a stunning custom Gunmetal Gray Metallic, the body is
straight, clean, and beautifully detailed. The custom touches
continue with a cut and fitted rear tailgate, relocated fuel filler
built into the rear bed rail, and a gorgeous custom wood bed with
polished stainless trim strips. A set of 17-inch chrome American
Racing Ridler wheels wrapped in like-new Cooper tires completes the
truck's stance.
Power comes from a 302ci Ford V8 paired with an AOD automatic
overdrive transmission. The engine features fuel injection, an
aluminum intake, headers, aluminum radiator, electric fan control,
serpentine accessory drive, and dual exhaust. The engine
compartment is extremely clean and nicely finished throughout.
Underneath, this F-100 has been extensively upgraded with a Scott's
Hotrods independent front suspension, four-bar rear suspension with
coilovers, power steering, Wilwood 4 wheel power disc brakes, and
an E-Stopp electronic parking brake. The frame was powder coated
during the restoration, and the underbody still shows exceptionally
well. It could simply benefit from a good cleaning due to the
owner/builder currently living on a dirt road.
Inside is a gorgeous custom Saddle Brown premium leather interior
featuring bucket seats, a custom center console, one-off door
panels and matching headliner, and a beautifully finished custom
dashboard. Dakota Digital gauges, a wood-rim steering wheel, tilt
steering column, power windows, Vintage Air A/C and heat, and a
Pioneer touchscreen stereo with premium speakers provide modern
comfort without taking away from the truck's classic character.
With its 1957-style front end, 1960 title, frame-off construction,
fuel-injected 302 V8, AOD overdrive, modern suspension and brakes,
custom leather interior, and only around 300 miles since
completion, this F-100 is an outstanding custom build that is
equally suited for the show field or a weekend cruise.
