This 1972 Ford F-100 is a professionally built, frame-off restomod
that combines classic Ford styling with modern LS power, updated
suspension, contemporary comfort and an exceptionally well-executed
custom interior. Built by Weaver Customs in West Jordan, Utah, this
truck was reworked from top to bottom with performance, drivability
and presentation all receiving equal attention.
At the center of the build is a 6.2-liter LS3 crate engine
producing 525 horsepower, paired with an 8-speed automatic
transmission. The modern powertrain transforms the driving
experience, providing substantially more performance and refinement
than the original drivetrain while remaining cleanly integrated
into the truck. The engine bay is exceptionally tidy, with a smooth
painted firewall and inner fenders, modern accessory drive, large
aluminum radiator and carefully routed wiring and plumbing.
Underneath, this F-100 received a comprehensive chassis upgrade
centered around QA1 suspension components. Front and rear
coilovers, upgraded suspension geometry and rack-and-pinion
steering bring the truck far beyond stock pickup dynamics.
Four-wheel disc brakes are visible at all four corners, and the
underside shows the same level of attention as the exterior, with a
clean black chassis, upgraded suspension components, dual exhaust
and a custom aluminum fuel tank.
The stance is one of the strongest elements of the build. A
staggered set of Schott wheels measures 18 inches up front and 20
inches in the rear, wrapped in Continental ExtremeContact tires.
The front uses 235/45ZR18s, while the rear steps up to 275/35ZR20s,
giving the truck a wide, planted appearance without overpowering
its classic proportions.
The exterior is finished in a distinctive custom Sage Green applied
by WW Speed & Customs. The color works especially well with the
F-100 body lines and is complemented by bright chrome bumpers,
polished grille trim, side moldings and Sport Custom badging. The
build also incorporates new glass and new exterior trim throughout,
giving the truck a fresh, cohesive appearance rather than the mixed
finish often seen on older custom builds.
Inside is where this F-100 becomes truly distinctive. Kato's Custom
Interiors created a one-off Terracotta cabin accented with plaid
inserts across the bench seat and door panels. The combination is
period-inspired without looking dated, and the craftsmanship is
evident throughout the dash, door panels, seat, carpeting and
custom center console.
The dash retains the classic horizontal Ford layout but has been
comprehensively modernized with Dakota Digital instrumentation,
including digital readouts integrated into a factory-inspired
cluster. A matching Dakota Digital climate-control interface
operates the modern air conditioning and heat system. Additional
comfort features include power windows, a retro-style stereo,
integrated speakers and a custom console with stainless
cupholders.
The bed is finished with a durable spray-in liner, allowing the
truck to retain some genuine pickup usability despite the level of
the build. The tailgate, bed sides and rear bodywork are
exceptionally clean, while the polished trim and chrome bumper
maintain the F-100's original visual identity.
The undercarriage reinforces the quality of the restoration. Photos
show a detailed frame, modern front suspension, coilover rear
setup, upgraded rear axle mounting hardware, rack-and-pinion
steering, disc brakes, dual exhaust and the aluminum fuel tank.
This is clearly a build that received significant attention below
the body rather than simply cosmetic upgrades above it.
What makes this truck especially appealing is the way the major
components work together. The 525-horsepower LS3, 8-speed
automatic, QA1 suspension, 4-wheel disc brakes, modern steering,
A/C, power windows and Dakota Digital electronics make it a truck
that can be genuinely enjoyed on the road, while the Weaver Customs
bodywork, Sage paint and Kato interior give it the presence
expected from a high-end show-quality restomod.
This 1972 Ford F-100 offers the right combination of craftsmanship,
modern performance and classic styling, with professional work from
recognized custom builders throughout the project. It is a
thoroughly executed restomod that presents exceptionally well from
the exterior and interior all the way through the chassis and
drivetrain.
