This 1952 Ford F1 is a beautifully presented example of Ford's
classic postwar pickup, finished in handsome Meadowland Green over
a gray bench seat interior. Showing 44,261 miles, the truck retains
the simple, purposeful styling that made the first-generation
F-Series an American icon, with its rounded fenders, prominent
grille, running boards, steel wheels, and clean single-cab profile.
The Meadowland Green finish gives the truck an understated
period-correct appearance, complemented by chrome hubcaps and a
beautifully finished wood bed with polished metal strips.
Power comes from Ford's 226 cubic-inch inline-six, rated at
approximately 95 horsepower and paired with a column-shifted
3-speed manual transmission. The truck has been converted from its
original 6-volt electrical system to a more practical 12-volt
setup. Recent mechanical work includes a rebuilt carburetor, new
camshaft, new pistons, new rocker arms, new starter, new valves,
new radiator, new fuel pump, and a new clutch. The result is a
largely traditional F1 that has received considerable attention to
its drivetrain and supporting components.
Inside, the F1 remains appropriately simple with a gray bench seat,
black rubber flooring, factory-style steering wheel, and
straightforward painted dashboard. The heater is functional, while
power steering, power brakes, and air conditioning are not
equipped, preserving the direct and mechanical driving experience
expected from an early Ford pickup.
According to the previous owner, the truck was driven regularly
during the summer months and was owned for approximately 12 years.
It was reportedly purchased outside the Washington, D.C. area in
West Virginia. With its classic Meadowland Green presentation, wood
bed, traditional inline-six and 3-speed drivetrain, and extensive
recent mechanical work, this 1952 Ford F1 offers the character and
simplicity of an early F-Series in a package well suited for local
shows, weekend drives, or simply enjoying as a vintage pickup.
