Zoom Classic Cars presents a true 1964 Chevrolet Impala SS 2-Door
Hardtop, VIN 41447T225002, finished in white over a striking red
and white vinyl interior. Representing one of Chevrolet's most
recognizable full-size performance models of the 1960s, this Impala
SS presents extremely well and combines classic styling, V8 power,
automatic transmission convenience, and the authentic SS identity
collectors look for. The car has been owned by its current owner
for approximately seven years and has always been garaged. It is
now stored in Maine and is accompanied by a clean, transferable
Maine registration. The 1964 model year occupies an important place
in Chevrolet history. The Impala had become Chevrolet's top-selling
full-size line and was firmly established as one of America's most
popular automobiles. The Impala SS gave buyers a more sporting
alternative, combining full-size comfort with performance-oriented
styling and available V8 power.For 1964, Chevrolet's full-size
lineup received a clean and distinctive redesign, with the Impala
SS standing out through its sport-oriented trim and equipment. The
combination of full-size proportions, crisp mid-1960s styling,
available V8 power, and the SS designation has made these cars
enduring favorites among Chevrolet collectors. Under the hood is a
327 cubic-inch Chevrolet V8 rated at 300 horsepower, coupled to a
rebuilt Powerglide automatic transmission. The engine's top end was
rebuilt in 2021, with documentation of the work accompanying the
car. The engine is currently fitted with a 350-cubic-inch Chevrolet
block, while retaining the 327/300 HP-style performance
configuration described for the car. The engine and transmission
work has been followed by only approximately 1,500 miles of driving
by the current owner. Additional mechanical features include: Front
disc brakes and Dual exhaust with Chrome exhaust tips exiting
through the rear. The white exterior is in overall excellent
condition and presents beautifully. The body is straight, solid and
well cared for, with excellent panel fit and alignment throughout.
The doors, hood, trunk and other body panels line up nicely. The
paint remains very attractive, with only minor imperfections noted
on the hood and trunk. All of the Chevrolet exterior trim and
badging is intact, with the chrome and stainless-steel trim in
excellent condition. Factory SS hubcaps mounted with whitewall
tires. Inside, the car features a highly attractive red and white
vinyl interior that complements the white exterior exceptionally
well. The cabin retains its period character, including the AM
radio, while presenting in overall excellent condition. The
interior is further complemented by carpet floor mats featuring SS
flag logos, adding an appropriate finishing touch and reinforcing
the car's Super Sport identity. The trunk is clean, well-presented
and properly equipped, including a full-size spare tire and the
accompanying factory-style jack equipment. This is an especially
nice detail for an enthusiast or collector, as the trunk retains
the useful equipment expected of a properly equipped vintage
Chevrolet. The underside is another strong point of this Impala.
The undercarriage is clean, solid and shows no evidence of rust,
providing an excellent foundation for continued enjoyment and
preservation. The addition of front disc brakes provides a
meaningful improvement in stopping performance while maintaining
the car's classic character. The car retains the distinctive visual
character that made the 1964 Impala SS such an important part of
Chevrolet's performance history. The sale also includes an
additional set of headlights with their accompanying chrome trim
and Chevrolet emblem, along with various extra parts. An extra set
of redline tires is also included. This very attractive 1964 Impala
SS offers the right combination of classic Chevrolet styling, V8
performance, recent documented mechanical work and desirable SS
presentation. With its excellent body, intact chrome and trim,
clean undercarriage, attractive red-and-white interior, SS-logo
mats, and properly equipped trunk, this Impala is ready to be
enjoyed by its next owner. Call Jeff for additional information or
